Hard To Saddle Mule
This mule had been saddled a few times before but the last time, she got spooked by something outside and the saddle off fell off, since then she’s been terrified of the saddle. Ty helps a friend at the clinic during a private session to saddle the mule.

Out of all the Mule Clinicians I have been able to find on You Tube, this guy is without a doubt the best one I have found. Great Attitude and Patience! I also have to add that, the color of this mule I think is the strangest I've ever saw. at first I thought she had pink skin and looked burnt, but as I keep seeing her from the different camera angles. I concluded she wasn't burnt. now I'm perplexed on whether she rolled in some red clay or sand and is just stained or if she's actually that golden palomino color with Appie spots and Sabino paint patterns over top. I would love to know if this is her true color or not! haha

Did anybody check to see if saddle fit was a problem. Sometimes they accept it until they cannot any more.
Working on handling hind feet. Any tips for falling into the person and leaning?

One tends to forget that there is a sensitive side to mules.
My audio is not working - so forgive me if you had answered this - but considering she's scared of the saddle - then instead of stressing her the way you did why not lunge to wear her down, then cross tie her next to a saddle then gradually put a pad and saddle on ?

You never put a panicky horse (or mule in this case) in cross ties. They have to have the freedom to move around. What Ty is doing here is giving them that freedom without allowing them to actually go anywhere.
