If you use the scale tool and lock an axis, then press 0 it flattens to that axis.
S Z Z 0 and Make Planar Faces is also good solutions.
Thanks!

You're welcome.
What exactly did you press at 11:30 to get it to snap?

Shift+Tab to activate the snap function. Make sure to change snapping from increment to vertex.
Do you use mouse or tablet for modeling?

I use both. I've found that using the mouse alone for prolonged periods of time tend to cause repetitive stress injuries.

The aim of this video is to discuss non-planar surfaces and the resulting artifacts that occur when cutting details into these surfaces. Demonstrating proper topology for specific details is NOT the goal here. I have a catalogue of videos that address various topology related topics on the channel, so feel free to browse at your leisure.
