Thanks brother. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect as far as ripped pads. Being the bottom board was physically broken. Luckily it was an easy pad to fix

This isn’t feasible to do as a 1st or 2nd project, huh? I don’t think I have the tools, so I wish I knew how to ask a shop if they’d be willing to give it a go. I’m pretty dang sure my screen is good and the digitizer is connected, so this sandwich bump seems to be my problem. Thanks for the video; well done!

Definitely not for a beginner nor an intermediate level soldering tech. Where are you located? If you're in the USA, I accept mail in repairs. If you're outside of the USA, I'd recommend calling repair shops near you and ask if they offer microsoldering repairs, and if they can do "sandwich" repairs

Are those gold pads that I see going around the boards are they spacers btw I'm from Fort Pierce

Actually, the front camera was fine. I was testing in my tester housing which wasn't the original cam. In the customer's housing, cameras worked fine.

you are using hakko fm-203 that u tell us in this video. But in the background I can see another hakko soldering station! is that station for decoration ? or are u not using it anymore =)

No. the iCloud is based of the IMEI. I am keeping the same main board. This is not an iCloud lock device nor a iCloud lock removal process.

Hey! Just going through old comments.. Nope. It uses the IMEI in BBCPU, which you cannot replace.

Is it worth just reballing the bottom board before swapping it out ?

Unfortunately no. The bottom board is physically broken in this case.

jesse is there anyway to copy over the eeprom data without that programmer? or using a different programmer with soldering wires to the board manually? i'd rather not touch the eeprom chip and risk breaking it!

yes you can use any eeprom programmer. run jumpers from the SDA, SCL, 1v8 and gnd pads to the programmer

Yes you can use another bottom board for data recovery
