    Why pick their cheapest and worst quality screw drivers? How about some of their higher end screw drivers from HF?

    Even though that set is cheap, It's one of my favorite sets, at least for what I'm using em for. The finish on them isn't great, but they're still good for medium-light use.

    Not a good test, sorry. Snapping the handle off of a screwdriver is not the failure point of a screwdriver. The engagement to the screw, and the quality of the end that engages the screw should be the test point.

    Wow! I mean really dude?! I love snap on and this is just crazy. A message to all the home guys, any screw driver will hold up for professional use. I am an apprentice diesel mechanic and grew up around trucks and equipment and tools. You should just use the tool for its intend use. I always wondered if snap on was better and yeah they are a little bit, but you have to realize that you are mostly paying for the brand. Use what you want and don't hate on snap on tools, they are good and so are harbor freight (well some of hf lol), you get the point.

    @@802dieselcrew8 got a reply guess it worked lol. Don't mean to be harsh man, just saying you can't really compare the screwdrivers in this way. You really would never be putting that much torque on your screwdrivers anyways, you would probably want to use a drill if you need that much torque. The snap on are far superior but you can just tell those harbor freight ones are cheap, i own the snap on and have used the hf. Just saying they can hold up to pro use, people just shouldn't be using like this. But by all means if you want to do this test that is up to you. If you do comparisons do as you wish, I like comparisons but they should be in the same ballpark not a $25 screwdriver vs a $.50

  • @mjp5429
    @mjp54295 жыл бұрын

    You are comparing a $.50 screw driver against a $8 and a $20 screw driver.... so....... according this video the $8 craps man is just as good as the $20 Snap-Off??

    AWESOME! I Always use my screwdrivers as pry bars instead of to fasten screws. How about using long-handled vice grips with a breaker bar to really test them? Or you could just put them in the vice and pound them sideways with a 10 lb. sledge hammer. See which ones bend.

  • @MrAnonymousRandom

    The screw will either strip, snap, or start turning if you apply that much force. All this test does is show how well attached and the quality of the handle material. A much better test would be to find a softened and rusted screw and see if any of the three can undo it starting with the harbor freight.

    Use the right tool for the job, do not abuse that tool, do regular maintenance and cleaning, even cheapo tools will serve you well for a very long time. If you fuck-up a decent quality screwdriver, you probably should avoid putting any tool in your hands.

    I worked as a professional certified tech for 3 years worked on thousands of cars. Also built houses I've never even used screw drivers once to deliver that amount of torque. Harbor freight has good stuff, as to why people keep comparing the cheapest HF stuff to snap on , i don't know. I worked with a guy who worked 25 years in the field had over 100 k in Snap on tools and made over 100k a year in pay, i never saw him pick up a damn screw driver to work on anything half the time they were used as prying tools. When a guy opens up his snap on box and it looks like that trust me he's not really using half that stuff. Their ratchets, impact sockets, breaker bar, and alot of other stuff are top of the line and very comparable to snap on. The pro Pittsburgh stuff is legit.

  • @ezew4144

    @ezew4144

    @Bill Johnson im speaking from experience and i have used harbor freight stuff with snap on. Snap on is only the best in wrenches and sockets for ratchets. Impact sockets like sunex or grey pneumatic are absolutely as good as snap on impact. But as far as hf ratchets breaker bars etc are just as good. Snap on is not the best tool company in any category other than sockets and wrenches.

    if your going to use so much torque on the screw driver wouldn't you just put a wrench on the metal end of the screwdriver? Can't do that with craftsman. I would rather see you test the metal than the plastic. Besides you have no type of torque gauge to show how much torque was being put on the HF driver. Looks like the other two drivers had lousy handles in that you would have a hard time getting a good grip on them. I say winner Harbor Freight.

    I never hade a handle come off my screw driver's problem is they are worn out after 20 years looking for the most durable tips, of course I could just take them all back and get a new set since they are craftsmen I would have rether seen a 24 inch pipe wrench on the craftsmen and the snapon then a 2 lbs hammer driving the tips into a vise to see what tip was harder and deformed less anything would have been better then watching you brake a toy screwdriver at least get an icon next time if you facing off with snapon their is no real screw testing on youtube

    Snapoff or crapman paid you very well for this crappy test. 1. You didn’t use HF top of the line screwdriver set like Quinn. 2. Vice test is just only one test on screw drivers. You should test stipping Philips screw driver test, Bending strength, and use torque wrench to test its strength where you put wrench to help it turn, let not forget screwdriver handle test. Worst screwdriver set test ever. You also didn’t mention how many screwdrivers you have left to use for HF compared to crapman, and snapoff one screwdriver breaks you got nothing to use. At at HF you got life time too.
