Harbor freight bed crane modified with electric winch welded to hitch receiver...

I did this to make swapping my 1983 chevy k10 over to a 5.3 easier due to uneven terrain and the lift on the truck makes it difficult to swap with a regular engine hoist!
UPDATE!!! the video attached is that LS 5.3 in my squarebody k10 running
UPDATE!!! I will be swapping a 98 chevy blazer 4.3 liter engine with this crane.. once completed I will be LS swapping my 1988 chevy s10 with the same crane will be posting videos once the job is started...

I did something very similar except I used two pulleys to double back on to make the winches life easier 😅

Nice build, but I was nervous about the tongue weight limit.

Hmmm...car suspension didn't appear to squat at all picking up that engine. That car should have squatted 4-6" at least. Super springs or was there a jack supporting car in some manner?

Thanks for posting! Am I seeing it right, it looks like you bolted the mounting/fairlead plate to the winch, then welded the mounting plate to the crane? I don't know the advertised weight rating on the hypertough winch, but I have noticed with my HF 2500# winch it struggles with 400-500 lb loads, even with a short and large power cable and fresh battery. Do you think all these winch manufacturers are over-rating their power?

oh yeah that winch is rated for 2500 lbs and is hooked directly to that cars brand new 800 cca battery and the car is running
