Pros: Motor, shifter, pedal sprocket, pedals, welding, electronics, brakes, brake pads all of pretty great quality considering the price. I notice a lot of the same components are used in almost every moped style e-bike (talking about you 7 speed shimono shifter) Motor: As far as motor, i test drove a super 73 at scheelz and power feels very comparable considering it's almost 2k less in price both single rear motor. I'm 220 and didn't have any issues on flat land. Was more than aggressive enough for what i'm looking for. Didn't get an opportunity to test hills. See cons for explanation lol Cons: (most of these were pretty minor - the tire blow out issue however was super frustrating) User manual isn't for this bike. Front tire assembly diagrams show small components that are not provided. This video explains it well. Front fender assembly- 100% the worst part of the assembly process. Prongs are not fit to the round bar it's attached to.(bar is fatter and round while prongs are parallel and you feel like your gonna break it when you bend them. (They were sturdier than expected and didn't break but still scray )) Tires are generally of low quality - I had a defective front tire. A lot more info down below in the 'individual experience with unboxing and assembly' section. - if anyone else experiences this please message me privately. I'm just curious at how many others are experiencing this. I've already contacted Happyrun customer support to see what they are going to do about the defective front tire. I'll edit this with how it goes. My individual experience with unboxing and assembly: It's 4pm Friday . Fedex just dropped off the bike I've been waiting on for 5 business days. I assemble the bike. Struggle my ass off with the front fender assembly and head light. Ended up giving up on the fender and just put the headlight on. Got the front tire installed no problem. a little wonky doing it by myself and didn't feel comfortable turning bike over on it's handle bars but this guys video seemed to work no problem without damaging anything on the handle bars. Biggest thing with the wheels is you want the fatter washer/nut thing (sorry dont know what it's called) to be on the side of the tire that doesn't have the brake disk and assembly on it. First ride. 5:30pm Friday . I take it for a spin around my neighborhood. Smooth concrete no potholes or anything. In otherwise good repair. Get about .5 miles on it just doing a loop around the neighborhood (pedal assist 2 - nothing crazy) I come out of a turn at about 10 mph. Straighten out. I hear a loud pop from front tire. I begin braking. Look down. See a god damn balloon growing up from the tire up at me. Full stop. Tire Pops and goes full flat. Lugged that heavy ass bike the .5 miles back to my garage. (Pro-tip: if you have the strength for it, pop it up on it's back tire holding the handle bars and you can push back on one wheel . Alternative sucks) Nothing jumps out at me when looking at the outer tire for punctures or anything major. 9am Saturday . I go to a e-bike/scooter store nearby that has the 20x4 inch tubes required. Not a lot of places around me (DFW Tx area) carry these) I stupidly didn't bring the wheel/inner tube/ outer tire in with me. Purchased 2 20x4 veletrics or something like that inner tubes. install at home. Inflate to recommended 30psi stated on the tire. Go same route. Got a little closer back to the house this time before the exact same thing happens to the inner tube. I go back to the store this time with the rim/inner tube/outer tire. Guy shows me where the talcum powder on the inside of the tube burst out into the side wall of the outer tire. We did not see any puncture damage but what he did point out was a distinct wavyness in the rubber material around this spot. Whereas the rest of the sidewall is smooth and without that wavyness. The talcum powder also lined up with that spot too. Both inner tube blowouts were on the exact same spot on the sidewall. (blow outs on the tube do not line up with distance from the valve stem but I wasn't super OCD with the orientation of the outer tire in relation to the valve stem for the inner tube. Bottom line, the outer tire just lost grib on the rim due to that defect and the inner tube expanded because it could. Long story short, I bought two new velectrics or something tires. Comparing the stock tire, without inner tube to the new tires, you can clearly see there is a huge quality gap. The outer tire even on the bottom, tread side, of the tire is super super thin. The guy at the store had never heard of those tires before and said they look like they are specifically designed for wet/soft snow/sand not concrete. Front fender assembly advice: At first I was scared I was going to break the prongs. but as I got more and more frustrated with it I got more and more forceful. It withstood the force. Opened the prongs up using pliers.) Best tip I can give people is to install the fender before you put the front tire in. You have much more room to maneuver the fender. Bend the front side prong first. (I used pliers) Insert the screw portion with the allen wrench side facing the front of the bike through the light and the first whole. Push through to the outlet hole on inside of handle bar. Bend the fender up until the backside prong can just barely be pushed through the hole in the prong. (basically just get the screw far enough through the inside of the handle bar side prong to get the nut on it and hand tighten a few turns. use the included tool + allen wrench to tighten everything up. Don't worry about getting the headlight into position until it's somewhat tight.

Mr. Hood, did you get your issue with the front spacers straightened out, on your HappyRun bike? I saw you were riding something different, a couple months later. I'm pretty sure I know what your issue was/is, if you want to hear about it. Just reply here and I'll tell you about it. 😁✌🖖

The speed discussions are vague. 30 MPH REQUIRES PEDAL ASSIST! Very important, as is top speed unassisted. Review technique is more suited for fine art, wine and cheese. Bikes should follow a technical format.

Shouldn’t there be a bearing for the front wheel? Sumpin ain’t right. A $50 Wallymart bike has front bearings. Melt down in Wuhan.
