Hello, I’m Joe - I’m a guitar player, singer-songwriter, producer, recording engineer and teacher!
On this channel you’ll find my original songs, covers and solo fingerstyle guitar arrangements. My favorite music doesn’t fit neatly in a box so you may hear me play folk, blues, jazz, & classic rock - you can call it what you want; I feel honored to speak this timeless language of melody, harmony & rhythm.
I was born on May 25th 1991 in Kempsey, NSW, Australia. Since 2010 I have been based in the US and currently live in the Rocky Mountains of Montana with my wife, Genevieve (who teaches illustration on KZread!).
I play Maton acoustic guitars, made in Australia (just like me) and am very proud to have my own signature instrument, the JR Signature!
In addition to song performances, you will also find guitar lessons, chord breakdowns, TAB, tutorials, gear reviews and other guitarist related content to help you stay inspired on the instrument.

You can have multiple angles of camera at a same time it will be easier for the viewer to see the note clearly

The original song is called Stewball and is a very old irish song!
I really like this arrangement of John Lennons classic Christmas song. :) it has all the classic parts and that rhthmic driving bassline adds that oomf.

I love your precise and gentle technique. I try to use the same. But I still struggle with my buzzing b string on 2-3 fret, its so annoying that I will be pushed to change my frets or level them...

Joe, great lesson. Thank you. You are a great fingerpicking guitar player, and in all the other styles that you play. I am curiuos as to the brand of guitar you are using on this lesson; can you please let me know. I am looking for a steel acoustic guitar to play fingerstyle that the neck is not rough to play. What do you recommend for a begginer? Or how can I make the one I have a little easier to play. The action is rough. I have a D' Angelico guitar which cost me $750, but it is rough to play. What is the lightest set of strings one can put on an acoustic guitar. Thhank you. A fan of your talent.
