Happy Chinese, Episode 2, An Image Issue (Learning Chinese Series)
An entertaining Chinese TV series, with English and Chinese subtitles, aimed at advanced learners of the language. However, beginners and those with limited knowledge of Chinese will also be able to pick up a lot from the show, not least because of the subtitles, but because there are regular fun and engaging vocabulary, phrasal and grammar review points which cover all the basics that even the complete beginner would be learning in the first few chapters of a study book. This series has something for everyone.

very funny show...I like it so much. I can learn chinese while enjoying the show. Thank you so much for everyone involved in making these videos. 🤩🤩
What a cute show! I'd love to get recommendations of other shows for beginners
这节目非常好 - 我感觉很高兴找到 - 期待一直看!I've searched long and hard for what I felt were useful, entertaining, and applicable lessons for my level of Chinese. Many available resources, as you know, have low quality sound, or archaic language, etc. This is absolutely awesome, and I'm so glad i found it. Thanks so much!
As far as education tv shows go this isn't half bad

I'm learning at a pretty basic level and these really are helpful, not as a learning tool but more of understanding pronunciation, sentence structures and when to use what kinds of words and sentences.
God the Beifang accent is so strong with the son wearing the red sweater.
This show is hilarious... lol
This show makes me happy.
This is awesome! I just wish there was pinyin for it
This show is pretty cringe no cap but it holds this innocent aesthetic of a simple life full of laughter and devoid of anything dark or serious (almost like a kids show :0) which is why im still watching. Also i really wanna learn Chinese
谢谢!真有意思!对汉语口语练习很有帮助!
爸爸真可爱!
Thank you. I appreciate it to much. I hope you upload more to expand chinese to become an international language.
The young son is very beautiful

It would be interesting to know about real lives of actors. I was surfing on the internet to get some info about them but everything was unavailing. But anyway the sit com is pretty awesome!!!

Are there any shows like this anymore? To learn Chinese.
I like how the main character in this show is the foreign woman and her friend, but it ends up being 90% about all the men in the show, and they are quietly on the side. Also why does she have to be so ditzy.
There used to be a comment with all the script in Chinese characters. What happened? :(
Nice
Wo wang le I forgot it is very enjoyable as well.
It's very nice but the Chinese characters are so small and smashed that I cannot read.

Absolutely, just for laughs I think so too. I'm curious though about how important it is with drinking culture. I mean if someone wants to toast to me - a visiting foreigner - is it very important to follow through and empty the glass every time?

Hello Jonatan I think the episode shows that it's not required but doing it is viewed as being polite (only if you can handle it ; if you cannot handle your alcohol intake, then it's foolish)
The ending where she gave them a little visual performance was a bit cringe and awkward, anyone else saw it?

***** If you type in 'type chinese' there should be a website that allows you to type the pinyin which turns into the characters. From there copy and paste :3 Hope that helps a little

I was curious a few years ago and managed to find her name and some modeling photos she had done... nothing indecent, just some normal clothes modeling. I forget her name but you could probably find it with some diligent googling.

I know this is an old comment, but I started watching this again. Susan’s real name is Mariana Panait, she is Romanian and she has been living in China since 2001, married to a Chinese man. I got all this from a Romanian written interview (I am also Romanian). Greetings !
What’s the song he starts singing?
可以告诉在影片的开头奏着哪首歌曲吗?
Ni kuai le ma? Wo hen kuai le Xiexie nimen :D
Does anyone know where I can find the script for this to translate and learn all the words?

If you move to the best coments, there's a post by an user called S. B. S (or something like that) who wrote all the dialogue from the episode. It's in chinese characters but with a translator like pleco it's easy to translate every character and word.
7:06 OH NOoooo....

can i get the script for this
it is hilarious lol =))
Is this a northern or southern Chinese accent?
形容词也可以做谓语。这我都从来不知道的事情啊

对,这个家庭都是非常幽默的人。 我也喜欢他们的爸爸表现。
The very end is soo cringe with Susan disrespecting
I laughed so hard
speak too fast ..... but so natural conversation
I think the 'litterary' translation is good but, sometimes, the 'literal' brings some insight in to the true meaning of the phrase. 你身体怎么样 literally means 'How is your body'?

I was taught that good morning was ZAO SHANG HAO? but in here they say it differently. What is the difference?
@abdullahisaahmed5366
7 жыл бұрын
Karla Ayala I guess there isn't much different from what you were being taught. Ni Zao 你早 it's mostly used in the spoken language to shorten some certain sentences (for example ¥250, it's been pronounced as ErBaiWu 二百五 instead of saying ErBaiWuShi (块钱)) . It doesn't have any effect when it comes to the meaning as when you decide to elongate it as in Zao Shang Hao 早上好 'OR' Shang Wu Hao 上午好 (The two most commonly used 'Goodmorning' greetings in Chinese but just a Little bit time difference). Hope that'd help.
