Pac was one of those people that comes along once in a lifetime

Yup never gonna be someone like him in my lifetime
Pac and Scarface made the song while he was alive. They recorded the song in 1996 in Los Angeles before he died weeks later. The song ended up on Scarface 1997 album Untouchable. It was released after Pac died. Scarface talked about it on interviews. The singer on the hook is Chicago singer Johnny P. He sung on hooks on songs with rap group Do or Die from Chicago. Johnny P and Do or Die were signed to Houston Rap-A-Lot Records, the same label Scarface and Geto Boys were on. Johnny P died a few years ago.

The original version which is titled "Smile for Me Now" was released on disc 2 of Death Row Greatest Hits compilation album, on November 26, 1996. It was produced by Tupac and Damon Thomas (of the production duo The Underdogs) and featuring vocals by singer 816.

“Why she’d tears save your sympathy my childhood years was spent burying my peers” verses like this is why pac is as the best. Not just what he said but he poured it out.

Hold ya head has some incredible verses as well as blasphemy
They were supposed to do a album together called 2 Face. Would’ve been soooo dope.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
2Pac and Scarface not only collaborated on this track, they were actual homeboys in real life.
Pac and Face recorded this together about a month before Pac was killed. The eeriest part about this video at that time was it came out about a half a year after Pac was dead. It was the first video we had seen of him since his death and had a lot of us debating on if it was really Pac in the video or if it was a look-alike because a lot of us hadn’t accepted that he was gone. Bro, you’d be doing yourself a serious favor by reviewing this album by Face (Untouchable) or (The Diary). Both are classic albums that go tough all the way through.

These two are ghetto preachers to me! This song is extremely powerful. I've recently gone through trials and tribulations, now I get up ever morning" smile" and know everything is going to be alright, keep pressing forward living life and be the best man I can be! Rip happy bday pac the best mc to walk god's green 🌎. Do temptations next! Keep it up young g great reactions brother
I miss that sound so much. It's so nostalgic to me. It's hard to overstate how much it defines the internal sound of LA at that time period.

I called it the southwest sound. The beat was produced by Scarface. This was a Texas sound. At that time, the Houston sound had a west coast influenced to it.

@@SoulOfTheSouth definitely! Geto Boys got a lot of play around here too at the time. There was for sure an overlap of styles. It's crazy distinct. Takes me right back!

@@nightmaster5593 Yea me too. Im 35 going on 36. Im from UGK’s hometown Port Arthur, TX. It’s an hour and 20 minutes from Houston. My older sisters are huge fans of both groups. My sister lived in Houston for a few years and we always go to Houston and we always hear Rap-A-Lot and Suavehouse Records music playing in cars plus she had the albums. I miss that sound.

@@SoulOfTheSouth I'm 42, my brother. From Inglewood, Crenshaw, and Hawthorne. And I can relate so very much to what you're talking about. We listened a ton to local cats, but from NorCal, Too Short and Dangerous Records got love, and that classic mid-90s TX UGK and the whole Geto Boys genius got huge love out here too. It all added up and created a distinctive sound. I liked very much how you call it the "South West" sound, because when it's all said and done, that regional description will make the most sense. For sure!

You need more Scarface in your life... Scarface -- I Seen A Man Die Scarface -- No Tears

He reviewed I seen a man die. I remember back in 95 when we was banging, one of our brothas had gotten murdered. I can remember setting our rivals flag on fire while banging “No Tears” getting toe down before riding down. Though that ain’t my life anymore, that song will always hit different for me. At the time, it felt like he wrote that song just for us.
My favorite part is the very end when Scarface said let’s say a prayer for the homie pac knowing that he was on the same song. Made it feel like it was pac homecoming song. That was 💯
A honestly thought Provoking track. It's humble and goes hard at the same time... R.i.P Pac🙏🏾
“If you black, smile for me now” 🙏🏿
If you want a song with two great Hip Hop voices working well together, you should listen to "Hand of the Dead Body" by Scarface ft. Ice Cube. One of my favorite Hip Hop songs of all time.

Man that song is so tough!! That whole album from top to bottom. The Diary is a certified classic.
Y’all boys remember this Makaveli album had came out with Pac on the cover hanging from the crucifix in November of 96? Then this song dropped in 97 with Pac on the crucifix, only fueled the speculation that was he as still alive. What a time for hip hop.
Definition of a Thug Nigga, Death Around the Corner, U Can’t C Me, When the Homie Calls, Do For Love, Troublesome 96’, are some that I’m sure folks wanna see a reaction to.
Storytelling at it’s finest 🔥🔥🔥That last verse by Face which is really him saying a prayer is dope 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I used to watch this video on MTV getting dressed or just getting home from school. Shit was hard then too
Bro, Johnny P is on this hook, I've been requesting Do or Die Po Pimp with the greatest hook in the history of music for almost a year now, PLEASE GIVE MY BOY JOHNNY P SOME LOVE, RIP
If this is your 1st time hearing all these golden era Jams I'm very envious of your ears. To hear it for the 1st time is special. Especially 2 legendary artists like Pac/Face 👍
Pac and Biggie were examples of black males who lived with no expectation to grow old. You have a lot of brothers out here feeling the same but can’t express it like they did.
The more Scarface in your life the better
2Pac Temptations is the reaction I need....especially the music video. You'll thank me later Young King
I was wondering when you were going to react to this one. It damn near seemed like it would've been the first one. I'd like that see you react to "My Block" by Scarface I think you'd like that one a lot
You need to review Scarface song "Never seen a man cry, until I see that man die." Best Scarface I've ever heard.
Incredible how the dude who portrays Pac in this video looks exactly like him. Pac & Scarface recorded this song in 1996 but the video was filmed after Pac died (in September 1996). Video was released in 1997.
Still a top 5 banger for me since day 1.
Thanks for reminding me about this song I completely forgot I used to love this in high school!!
Scarface look into my eyes
Some of the most beautiful lyrics which Tupac wrote.
Classic song! They made it 2gether and Johnny P was on the hook, he did hook for or Do or Die song Pimpology.
Scarface an nas in between us.. 8ball & mjg friend or foe or lock down inmates Everybody got problems unheard of by so many a must play wont be disappointed promise u.
Scarface - Never 🔥🔥🔥🔥
That's a Pac look-a-like from NC.
Homies and Thugs by Scarface, Master P, and Pac would be a good one to review. That song goes hard asf
R.I.P GOAT
Here’s made it ! Before he died! I loved the king!! Never forgotten!!
Happy Birthday to my Gemini twin ♊️ R.i.p. Pac
2 of the greatest to ever do it… 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾❤️❤️❤️
Scarface - Minute to pray & a second to die
Straight classic. I still keep this in rotation. Johnny P…Chicago!
All of pacs verses are absolutely incredible
Johnny P is the singer on the hook and the video dropped I wanna say Spring of 1997 if my memory serves me correct
Peace King. Great reaction
Yea yo this joint right here a banger!!! I remember when the video first dropped and we couldn’t wait for it to come back on the video music box!!!
1997 classic 💯🇯🇲🔥 Check out Scarface’s: guess who’s back, never, in between us ft nas, burn ft z-ro, who do you believe in, hand of a dead body ft ice cube & Devin the dude, the world is a ghetto with Geto Boys, boy meets girl and many more classics from face.
this video was released right after we lost pac.. it was so emotional seeing him on that cross
My Block 2pac, The Diary LP Scarface. Eightball MJG. Too Short Cocktales. or Gettin It.
Oh! And Johnny P is on the hook (RIP Johnny P). He did tons of hooks but he’s most famous for his hook on the song “Po Pimp” by Do-Or-Die. That’s another song and group you’d be doing yourself a favor by checking out. Trust me.
This video was Scarface's tribute to Tupac. The video was released after Tupac died, hence Scarface's prayer to him at the end of the video. Thats a Tupac look a like in the video. The video basically represents Tupac being crucified. Scarface was Tupac's favorite rapper.
I've Been waiting on this one, perfect day for this song💯
You should listen to or review Broken by Freddie Gibbs and Madlib feat. Scarface. It’s one of my favorites off of that album Piñata.
They both have a song called: Who do you believe in. Review Scarface's version and just listen to the words. Not alot of people talk about that song but just listen to it. Review that if you like
This was the LAST video TuPac shot before he died that was really him up there
I love this song, and I totally forgot it existed. good I have your channel : )
One of my favorite songs
Scarface!!! Sorry for what, in my time, never, untouchable, in cold blood and mary jane are just a couple of hits from scarface aka facemob.
Stay on the Scarface train, Fuck Faces is another collab with some major names.
To all 2Pac fans I suggest reading Niccolo MACHIAVELLI'S book. 😉
Hey ...you can feel for real ... One Love
This video creeped me out when it first dropped. Dude they got to portray Pac in the vide, maaaaan listen. Let's just say it added to the Pac ain't really dead rumors.
Top 5 best rap songs ever
Da two greatest ever 2Face.
Scarface's prayer at the end is doper than some MC's whole catalog. R.I.P. Tupac and Johnny P.
Oh and Scarface songs hit harder when you listen to them slowed down.😂😂 If you can get to listen to Face’s album The World is Yours slowed down, you won’t be disappointed.
M.O.P - firing squad track
Made you tear up didn't it!.. umm hmmm... Now you feel how we felt back then going through everything we went through and listen to songs like this this what we had to help us push us through our pain
Bullets b hot they burning!!!
The cars shown at the beginning of the video are the same model and colors of the cars that 2pac and Biggie were killed in
Classic!
React to some more Necro, that would be dope! Necro - Dead body disposal Necro - Creepy crawl Necro - No remorse Necro - Push it to the limit Necro - Light My fire Necro - White slavery Necro - Beautiful music for you to die to Necro - Rap Is Outta Control freestyle Necro - Our life ft Ill Bill (necros brother) Necro - Morbid Necro - Gory Days Necro - I need drugs Necro - Death Rap Necro - Poetry in the streets You'll love them all!
Hey @Ahmad, if you like Scarface's voice and storytelling, you need to listen and react to Betrayal by Gangstarr featuring Scarface. Both Guru and Scarface's verses are like movie scenes
You HAVE to do All Eyez on me album
Scarface - My Block
I didnt even know i just listened to one of his songs
SIP MAKEVELI THE DON
Happy Birthday to the absolute 🐐!!!!!
You talked over the most important part at the end when he says say a prayer for the Homie Pac
GREAT SONG BY THE GREATEST TAGTEAM OF ALLTIME
Wow. Great verses. Jay-z This Can't be Life, The Dynasty is a great one
Please react to Scarface - A Minute To Pray And A Second To Die
Just a quick question, off topic. Do you react to movie trailers? Would you considering doing so? (Trap Soldiers)
Made before he died Scareface said Pac got mad at him cause it took him so long to write his verse
Pac forever
Bro, checkout Treach, “Mourn you til’ I join you”. I think it’s one of the best Tupac tribute songs.
The crazy thing Biggie and Pac are Geminis. They’re a lot similar in some ways when it comes to their music.

They were best friends initially. Pac was the one who gave Biggie a lot of game
Pac was already dead when Scarface dropped this.
Johnny prince on the hook🔥🔥🔥💯💯
When you get a chance, do a review of TRU’s True To The Game and Master P’s Ghetto D CD
Since you're on Scarface, if u haven't done so I HIGHLY recommend the Geto Boys Mind playin tricks on me! 1 of my 10 fav rap songs ever! Ridiculous song, story telling and video...

listen to “Coolie High” by Camp Lo. very underrated.
And some people claim 2pac was not lyrical, not a lyricist. Whatever that's supposed to mean... Smh.
