My family watched this movie as a random selection without expectations. This is such beautiful movie. Life has so much to embrace and look forward to despite life’s challenges, negatives and downturns. Such an enjoyable heartwarming movie

Can't say exactly why, but somehow I've been craving Feel Good movies for some time now. Hardly any come out. Also set in nature with hiking and forest - give it to me immediately!

I know exactly why I have been craving feel good movies... Because in today's society, especially the sh*thole political climate of the country, I need an escape. I remember learning in school that movies during the great depression (the first one in the early 20th century - lol) were extremely popular because people needed an escape from reality. I am at that point now and have been for the past 6 years or so.

Just finished watching this movie. I cried, I laughed. Every actor did their roles so well and with so much feeling. Loved so many things about this movie, respect towards nature, respect others (as you do not know their fears/problems in life). Just life in general, this movie reflects it so well. Two thumbs up 👌🏻❤️ Highly recommend it !

Eh, she grew as close as possible to royalty in the states. She was crowned at a racist debutante ball. She does seem like that friendly girl next door... but she's actually the super-rich woman pretending to be normal.

Netflix is one of many networks that are currently trying to change the rules for full-time writers in America. (Summary of the issues) The people are not being paid or guaranteed full-time jobs for writing full-time, writers want to ensure a place to actually do the writing, and prevention of AI stealing content and jobs are all up for negotiation as issues. Of course there's more to it, and I summarized a bunch, but It's good to spread awareness of the situation. Hopefully this helped explain the American writer's strike some. 😅

My boyfriend and I watched this on a whim and we both felt really great afterwards. It is the most perfect feel-good movie. The acting isn't the best, but each character had their own crazy personality that really brought the movie together. The storyline was simple and easy to follow. This isn't a super hilarious movie so dont watch it expecting to laugh all the time, but watch it to feel happier.❤

This is such a beautiful movie, there was never a dull moment. Every scene was as exciting as the next. All the actors played their parts so well and I just love Jake abd Helen together: the way Jake would look at Helen, oh boy, it melts my heart. Directing the movie was so great; the sequence if events was fast-paced that you never get bored. This is the fourth time i watched it!!! And I still love it ❤❤❤

I just watched it and it left me warm and happy in my heart. A sweet, genuine, feel-good movie with quirky but relatable and likeable characters. Want to rewatch it already 😍

I love ellie kemper! She's so bright and her smile is so contagious

Looks fun. I do wish they could make a movie about happiness that doesn't involve the need of finding someone to love. Love yourself. Then again, I haven't read the book or seen every movie out there. Who knows.

Well, first...Luke Grimes. Anyway, this movie was exactly what I needed to watch tonight. I cried. From happiness. Great feel-good movie and yes, Netflix, you should make more exactly like this.

Happiness for Beginners seem to open up new doors for those looking for hope and acceptance.

A great feel-good film! Yes, the ending is expected, but love is one of the reasons I chose to watch it, so no complains here! The writing and the storyline are original. I loved the quirkiness, the sweet romantic moments and the journey the characters take on to overcome what pulls them back.

I’m from CT and I recognize that waterfall and some of the scenery! Cue the fall nostalgia 🍁🍂

Never heard of the book but this movie is brill, it's got everything , brilliant cast❤

Unfortunately I didn't read the book yet, but I'm going to. I just saw the movie and I bawled - which is rare for me. It's a feel-good rom-com, and yet . . . I fell into it, which I wasn't expecting. I only watched it because my friend is a stage hiker of the Appalachian Trail and I wanted to see the cinematography. But as the movie progressed, I really surrendered to the story and it got me.

It was a cute rom com, the trailer made it look better tho, would have appreciated an extra 15 min to go more in depth with her journey and conclusions. Still nice, and want to read the book now :)

I’m Chillin’ IN this peaceful, rainy day! Just watched the sweetest and heart-inspiring Netflix movie…. “Happiness for Beginners”! So fun! Ellie Kemper is really funny. It might be difficult to watch her play a responsible adult, but I will have to watch this.

The final installment of Yellowstone did not turn out the way I was expecting.

Read the whole book in a few days after seeing this trailer lol, it was pretty good, can't wait for the show! If you guys know of any similar books, please drop them so I have something else to binge

This reminded me a lot of the book Wild, though a little bit lighter in content I would say

The guy in this movie looks like he would be the youngest son of a ranching baron in Montana.

The book is a wonderful read by a wonderful author. Looking forward to watching to movie.

This was a great movie! I'm a sucker for a film with a ragtag group of misfits! I loved all of the characters! I would love to see a sequel focused on the brother and his happiness journey! He was such a fun character who I would love to see more of!

You might already know this already, considering your comment was a year ago. There is a book about the brother. It's called What You Wish For. I don't think there is a movie, though. I just recently read both books and now I'm considering watching this movie. If you like to read both are definitely worth your time.

@@thereframequeen You're welcome! The books are more companion than series. What You Wish For happens some time after Happiness for Beginners. But I did not read them in order and it didn't really matter at all.

movie review: ⚠️might contain spoilers⚠️ first off, it was a lovely movie and on how it was made was perfection. the actress seemed like normal people going on a hike trip and they opened up a lot in the movie about their past. this movie was really good and it makes wanna rewatch it again. the storyline did make sense now and it has been on my watchlists for a while now, it was a random selecting by the way. edit: and ong sue and kaylee is literally me on school days, i love all of the characters in the movie🤍

I can't wait for the movie! I loved the book, although it would've been nice if the focus wasn't so much on only being complete and happy with a partner.
