Very rare to see people react to old AOF. Sharks and danger is a good song.

I love the inspiration for this song. Happiness By The Killowatt is based off of the story The Euphio Question. The story tells of an inventor who creates what he calls a euphoria machine that emits a sound capable of generating artificial happiness. This song encapsulates the poem beautifully.

It can't be overstated how important these guys were for the heavy scene in Canada. There had never been a band like this break out here. Yeah, I mother Earth were heavy, yeah Finger 11 were heavy and eccentric, and yeah Canada had always had great grunge and punk scenes, but to have a band so intense, so unabashedly punk rock, and with the balance of George shredding his vocals and Dallas's epic and ethereal cleans, it was monumental!

They're such a beautiful band. Alexisonfire, Every Time I Die, and Bayside will forever be in my heart

My all time fave song, by my all time fave band. Alexisonfire are so timeless, it does my head in that this is 19 years ago.

More alexisonfire can’t fail guys. Waterwings was the song that got me into them, pulmonary artery is another killer of the first album. Other big songs of theirs were accidents, rough hands, this could be anywhere in the world… but really they didn’t do many bad songs for me Alternatively if liked the clean vocals, Dallas green had his own band after, city and colour. Save your scissors, coming home and meant to be probably the standouts, although he did an amazing cover of rain when I die, by Alice in chains

Might enjoy Dog’s Blood from them as well. Also, the clean vocalist (Dallas Green, aka City and Colour) has a cover of Alice in Chain’s Rain when I die that you should DEFINTELY check out.

Alexisonfire might not draw the same views as bigger bands but you are doing yourselves a disservice by not listening to more of them, even in your own time.

When they first blew up I was really young. Wasn't really into rock yet. More rap, r&b etc. I remember their music would come on much and I just couldn't get down with it. My music taste changed over time. The past two years I've really gotten into them and it was like finding a treasure chest. They're newest album is great to and among their best. Crazy to see them killing it 20+ years later. Hope we get more AOF albums 🤘
