Definitely agree. He is me n my mom's favorite too.. it's ridiculous that he wasn't in top 3. I watched others in the finals but Rao n lee hyuk were the most passionate, soul touching performance.

His performance on Polonaise in A flat major is absolutely amazing. It really hit me deeply. Love it!

Tak,on porusza struny w duszy.Nawet słyszę takie dźwięki,których wcześniej nie słyszałam.Hao Rao,geniusz,a przy tym jaki skromny.Widziałam wywiad.Już przebolałam,że nie znalazł się w pierwszej trójce 😭,ale słucham.I tak podbije serca na świecie.

Next day when I listened to his performance of Polonaise, I haved one idea for not forget melody. It is writing a poetry(words of song)on the score.There was a happening, but his performance was especially good♪ I was so happy to listen to his clear and rhythmical tone☆Thank you, Mr. Hao Rao! from.Japan

A beautiful start, the echo throughout the room of the right hand was beautiful and made me realize clarity of his touch. The left hand was so tranquil yet supported the harmony. It also looked like there was a good balance between the focus on the music and the emotional connection with the sound.

He makes an experience of the Sonata, infused with beauty I've never heard from another pianist. A true treasure, this pianist.

He will be one of the finalists.

Love​ his​ Bm​ Sonata, especially​ the​ slow​ movement​ (my, got​ goosebumps all​ over! )​ and​ the​ open​ing​ of​ the​ first​ movement.​

Great to see this level of performance in competition.

He plays really beautifully!

I think he should be the winner of the competition, he’s the only one who playing the most like Chopin yet has he’s own personality, such a talent pianist! Surprisingly he’s only 17 years old has such mature performance, bravo for both Hao Rao and he’s teacher Vivian Lee!

I wish you would come and perform in Japan. I love your sounds so much!!!!!!

I like Hao Rao’s performance. Not only his music is with Chopin soul and also his posture shows his humbleness, sincerity and confidence to the composer and audience. There is No any exaggeration. He is completely matured on many perspectives🤩😍🤩😍

Well said. I was blown away by his final performance n upset that he didn't get into top 5. He is playing with such passion and feeling at only 17 ..I'm sure chopin is smiling down at this gifted boy.

Lol I love how gentle the Berceuse is, and how powerful sonata op 58 is. He’s got a great sense of dynamics. I personally found the Polonaise a little over pedaled at times, but he so deserved to make it to the finals.

Ooooohhhh major mistake! some measures were missing on the Polonaise!!! Oh my oh my oh my. I hope the judges overlook it, please 😩😫😞

50:47まさかここで曲が飛んでしまうとは泣 良い演奏だったのでファイナルに行ってほしいが、流石にミスが致命的すぎて厳しくなってしまった。しかし17歳で本当に素晴らしい演奏家です。

A natural performer indeed .

50:49 a surprised huge mistake at this level of competition. He did connect it well though. Most audience won’t notice if they are not familiar with this piece, but not the judges. Hope he could still make it to next round. I could see he is very upset when he was walking down the stairs.

@@jonasao1188 he’s one of my fav too. Something similar happened to Hayato. It was either during the 1st or 2nd round…he missed a few bars in Chopin ballade No.2, but he still made it to the 3rd round…so perhaps Hao Rao has a chance

@@krzysztofszymczyk7278 that's true. Unfortunately, this is a competition, so everything is considered. That being said, he may still have a chance because his playing was otherwise good. But at the 3rd stage, this will definitely reduce his chances to get into the finals.
