Sholing opened the scoring on 16 minutes after Brad Targett's effort took a fortunate deflection off Dwyane Duncan. Lee Wort made it two not long after, his head meeting a Billy Stedman cross. Hanwell would pull it back to 2-1 thanks to a beautiful curling shot from Braintree loanee Gianni Crichlow. However, in the last knockings of the game Sholing would confirm all three points after Alex MacAllister slotted in from close range. The Geordies grabbed a late goal in added time thanks to Josh Oyinsan's first goal since joining on loan from Hampton & Richmond, but it was too little too late.
Hanwell's next game is today away against Dorchester Town, then it's back home on Thursday for another crucial game against Plymouth Parkway.
