Man of Steel ist probably the most underrated Soundtrack of Zimmer's creations. Maybe because the movie wasn't a huge success like Pirates of the Caribbean. It's the most stunning soundtracks I've ever heared.

its so flawless that they managed to take a theme & fully utilize it just changing the tempos, speed, a few instruments & without having to use generic stock movie music. also i hate when movies have better music in the trailer but you either hear it in a few parts or dont hear it at all in the final product case in point with video games. uc2's soundtrack was way more powerful than uc4's. uc4's soundtrack didnt seem to take advantage of the classic uc2 theme

Uncharted 4 DID use the base theme of Uncharted 2, it was just by a totally different composer (Henry Jackman instead of Greg Edmonson) and was a completely different tone to match the tone of the game. I thought it was beautiful how they did it, and this comes from someone who loves the Uncharted 2 theme.

I like how as time passes Man of Steel gets the attention and appreciation it deserves, especially the soundtrack.

When you look at a lot of the superman films that have been released man of steel has to be ranked as one of the top ones, it’s brilliant, Henry Cavill was born to play superman, I love when Russel Crowe and Henry are on Graham Norton and Russel tells the most inspirational story about Henry and I think we should all aspire to it… you should find it, it’s really makes you think

Not sure I'd say it's better than DK. But for me it's a complete tossup between DK, MoS and Inception. I could listen to either one from beginning to end at any time.

i find that with Man of Steel, it is wholly original. There are scores which Zimmer does repeat himself there are notes and melodies in Pirates which resemble Gladiator. Even with the Batman trilogy you can pinpoint to other scores he has done. You cannot say the same with Man of Steel. It is unlike any of his others

I would say it's the best Background score ever appeared in a Superhero movie

that silence on everyone when the music was over.... they were stunned for few seconds and when the music finished , it's like they woke up from a dream

I had the very lucky experience to hearing it live, one of those experiences where u feel it in your bones and never forget

Great soundtrack imo - I am a huge Batman fan, but admittedly have listened to the MoS soundtrack more. This contemporary theme for Superman is brilliant. The only haters are the "In my day, we played with sticks - Get off my lawn you kids!" folks - I honestly let myself forget about the Reeves versions to watch the new movie and loved the theme. Look guys, we all tried Superman Returns and that was just too anachronistic. People looking to hate by insinuating that every Hans Zimmer track has the "Bwaaaaa" - THAT WAS ONLY ONE SONG IN ONE MOVIE. Ever seen Black Hawk Down? Rush? This theme to me resonates not just because of the motifs it represents in the movie, but moreso in that it kind of represents how long Superman has been kicking ass, and how he will continue to kick ass in the future. You feel his essence in those simple piano notes playing, leading into the drums and bass with realization of his powers, and to the climax of putting his mind, body, and heart together to bring hope.

Here's my take for this: John Williams' theme for Superman is how the world sees Superman and Hans Zimmer's theme is how Superman sees himself

This is the best movie soundtrack I've ever heard.

At first i thought the climax was a little bit loud and all over the place, but after about 30 seconds i started getting the HEAVIEST goosebumps and chills...then i became quiet... and the emotions swept over me, i was suddenly lost in the music, a single awestruck human witnessing this influx of human emotion. INCREDIBLE.

I remember the first time I heard this song when trailer #3 for the movie premiered. It was incredible from the first listen, I never felt something similar watching a trailer for a superhero movie. It is definitely a worthy successor for the John Williams score.

The strings (violin and chello) along with that African/Native American drum made this a one my favorite musical pieces

The best soundtrack for a superhero movie ever made, hands down. It says “Superman” every bit as much as John Williams original theme!

The theme is superman.. its all that he stands for.. hope and courage. Most epic soundtrack of all time. For me this movie showed the real superman.. man of steel forever

To my view, this overcomes William's theme. That one is Superman always triumphant and bright. Zimmer's starts with the gloom of a lost homeland, then someone who is looking for and finding his identity, and finally the triumphant hero. That's why I think the film trailer (with this music) is far better than the film itself.

I heard this piece for the first time during Mr. Zimmer's concert this summer and it was AMAZING. I smile when I read certain reviews classifying Mr Zimmer before God ... I don't believe in God but if he (God) exists ... well, Mr. Zimmer ranks first for me too !!!!
