@@Exodianecross1978the original faceman actor named Tim Dunigan actually agreed and it was mutual him bowing out so dirk Benedict could replace him. What a stand up guy 😊

I love love The A Team but the series got much better after the pilot when Dirk was brought in to play Face. He brought cool and charisma to the role, Tim Dunigan just couldn't act imo..

Late reply but the role was originally written for Dirk Benedict, the producers went with Tim but realized afterward that he was way to young to have been in Vietnam 10 years prior so the role went back to Dirk. Also, he was too tall for the other team members.
