Buck isn't the morally best person but the man does value Hank because he knows he's a dedicated and hard worker that gets the job done and knows how to treat people

This is one of my favorite KOTH episodes because it does a great job showing how viable customer relationships are when it comes to running a business. First of all, businesses rely on customers spending money on the product(s) and resources that are provided by the business in order to meet the customers’ necessities and convenience. And second, customers go to a place to get what they want mainly because of the quality of the company’s services as well as how much money they would need to spend on the products they want. Customers pay for conveniency and one of the easiest ways to lose them is by making your services inconvenient. Kahn made it inconvenient for his customers because of price gauging, horrible service, and literally fighting his own employee in front of everyone. All of these are contributing factors as to how detrimental it can be for a business because those things drive customers away. No one is going to spend a fortune washing their car because the labor itself isn’t worth that much money.

Rigging the change machine to only give a customer $.75 cents instead of a full dollar is unfair as well as lowering the water pressure on the spray nozzles and thensome.

Anyone else noticed the subtle burn to khan when the other take over the business. He said he saw a commercial for a self starting business. He didn’t have to buy the video like Kahn. He knew right away what a self running business was. Where as Kahn bought the video 😂

One thing I love about Hank is that he says he's gonna kick your ass he literally means he's going to kick your ass. 2:09 lol.

I mean, we literally saw him do so to Jimmy Wichard in Life in the Fast Lane: Bobby's Saga, so yeah, he definitely means it when he says he's going to kick someone's ass. Lol

Well, in the case of Jimmy Wichard, Jimmy should have been found guilty by a jury of his peers, and given life without parole in the state penitentiary in Huntsville.

After watching Shady Doorags review of this episode, I see that Hank and Khan are both right. Hank is right that just because Khan owns a business doesn't mean he can slack off or do whatever he wants, and Khan is right in that hard-work isn't the 'key to success' as Hank stubbornly believes, and that it is possible to work smarter not harder to get ahead.

@@user-wi6sh6vh8u Not so. Khan was right in that you can work smarter rather then harder to get wealthy. His problem was he didn't understand the concept of 'the customer is always right.'

Even that old phrase of “The customer is always right” some limitations and drawbacks. However, Kahn was just too greedy. So basically in other words, Kahn’s behavior in this episode is similar to that of the late actor James Broderick when he played Attorney Douglas Lawrence in the 1976-80 ABC soap opera series “family”.

I'm glad you referred to Shady Doorags's review of this episode, and to an extent, I agree. I personally believe hard work both is and isn't the key to success. I agree that the key to success is to do valuable work that can turn a profit. That's one big reason why I got my CDL and became a truck driver. My associates degree in automotive mechanics could've probably gotten me places, but when dealerships constantly hold you down to a detailer position just above minimum wage, that's not going to get you anywhere. However, there's always jobs when it comes to truck driving, and there's always trade market good to ship, so there's always work. That all being said, you definitely have to be willing to take the hits and work hard to attain that position. So it kinda is what Shady said; just my way of wording it.

I know the odds of a Shady Doorags fan being on a KotH are naturally high, but it’s always still nice seeing him being openly acknowledged. I love his style of commentary and his analysis.

I love how despite how much he hates a task, Hank will put in 100% of an effort to get the job done professionally. It's embedded in his DNA not to slack off.

After winning yet another successful Grillstravaganza price war, Buck eventually has to buy out Kahn, and Scrubby’s is back in the Strickland family, and under new management that doesn’t include Kahn under any circumstances whatsoever.
