I think its because unlike Kara and Markus, Connor is replaceable. At least, he is until he Deviates. Then, he becomes himself. That's why, SPOILERS!!! That's why when Hank shoots the wrong Connor, the fake one goes "You chose wrong" because that Connor was his own individual, and Hank had just killed him.

Connor is special. If he is a deviant he still comes back as a machine. I dont think he comes back in the Demonstartion but i know that if you fail (Bad public opinion or Sacrafice) Connor comes back and investigate the camp. Then he sees Markus' corpse and Mission succes. In the Revolution he comes back to kill Markus.

it's so interesting to see how differently connor can be played. kara can never really be changed-- she's always a motherly figure. you can make markus a pacifist or violent, but he always sort of acts the same and is always fighting for the same cause. connor, on the other hand, has the choice to go down two completely different roads with completely different views. connor is seen as the little goody two-shoes, the fandom's favorite, the man coming out of a coma and waking up to reality-- so much so that people can completely forget that depending on how you play, connor can be the **villain** of the story, too. that's so cool.

I love how Hank, even when 'hostile' still cares about Connor. #1 character forever.

10:18 is the most heartbreaking one I think, because of the way Hank calls him "son" and cradles Connor in his arms right before he dies. Poor Hank, poor Connor. I'm sure it reminds him all too much of Cole and how he died. The way Connor calls out for Hank, too, and asks him for help is so heartbreaking. Incidentally this is the first and only death I got while playing through Connor's route for the first time lol. I tried to go after the deviant in the kitchen, turned out that was a bad idea.

It's actually based in the Instability factor. When he's fully "stable," he's 100% cold, unfeeling, Android Conner. But as he gets more "unstable", his expressions grow more human, as he becomes Deviant.

Seriously, what I love about this game is how much your choices actually matter. This isn't like a TellTale game or Life is Strange in the aspect that most choices only change minor details and there's only two or three big options that impact the story significantly (Mostly being at the end of the game). Every choice in this game has big impact and there are so many different paths that you can choose. The fact that you can change Connor's fate by choosing the cold options or choosing the kind options...it's great. It's pure genius. And the consistent writing, the sheer detail to each scene. This game is amazing, wow

LOL. The worst thing is that Connor's end number goes up by one every time he dies. But he starts out the game with 51. Meaning that he'd already died 51 times before the start of the game.

Hank was drunk when he shot Connor, and he doesn't like to see Connor coming back from the dead because it reminds him that his son will never come back.

Making replacements come in every time Connor dies is actually a pretty genius game mechanic.

I somewhat appreciate that Hank gets upset with Connor constantly coming back, gives off how he'd prefer to see Connor be more emotional, and shows it more when Hank ends up understanding the deviants. Hence why he's so hostile to Connor treating himself dying over and over as a minor casualty. "Everytime you died and came back, I thought about Cole."

It's insane to think that Connor has died and came back so many times that Hank had to develop the android loving part of him alone. Now he sees androids as living emotional beings.. Except.. for Connor. When he finally let's Connor go, he says it. Connor is a machine with no soul.

dude the psychological toll this must've taken on hank is insane. also where he died in stratford tower and hank calls him son just hurts

APEX ALEX in some languages “jaja” can be translated to “ha ha” same as laughing but in their language

I love that Hank can keep up with Connor running across rooftops and he can kick Connor's ass 1 on 1. Hank must have been an absolute badass in his prime if this is him out of practice, depressed, and probably hungover.
