Hank just kind of rolls with the chaos his life naturally has. Dean fights against while hank is back stroking down the current. Like hank made the identity enriquo matasi, got decent at bass, is actually a skilled fighter and can allude osi attempts to kill him. Guy is actually pretty impressive. Give that adhd boy some caffeine he’s unstoppable

The boys are as well off as they are because of the other people in their lives. Brock for all of his bloodlust loves those boys and is much a parent to them as Rusty is. Heck even the Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend have been stablizing influences on the boys in episodes where they really have time to interact. Gary was a good person for them to have in their lives. Rusty does love them, but he's so messed up, and all of the people from Jonas's old crew are messed up too. You can see why Rusty turned out so screwed up. The boys have their problems, how could they not... but they are problems that can be dealt with. Sure they'll have some rough patches, but I think they'll be okay in time.

Who didn’t have a crush on Kate Jackson back in the day, I suffered through that shit show, Charle’s Angels, just to see those beautiful women, Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Jacqueline Smith they were just gorgeous, and the girls that replaced them as the show dipped in ratings where pretty but forgettable with the exception of Cheryl Tiegs, of course, God, I feel old

It really does come down to his potential. He's a genius in his own right, but he never focuses it for long. Peyote with ADHD get written off all the time for this very thing.

I mean that’s the thing. Dean isn’t better. He has many positive qualities for sure, but many faults as well. Like how he was upset an entire year over the discovery of them being clones. But Hank handles it in 30 seconds flat and was even happy about it.The only reason Hank struggles with his self worth is how Rusty treats him. He’s full of confidence until Rusty starts putting him down. And what with Rusty treating Dean in a more mentoring manner, it gives the impression that Dean is the better child to Hank. But really it’s just not true. Their equals in the sense that they both have many positive qualities even if at this point in the show they’re quite different

@@danielmedina4276 Rusty acts as a mentor to Dean because he can tell Hank is like he was - he really just isn't the kind of person who should be forced into this kind of lifestyle. He believes (incorrectly) that Dean is perfectly suited to it - he states in one episode, of Dean, "He should've been Rusty Venture, Boy Adventurer, not me". Rusty hated the lifestyle, and he can tell it's not right for Hank, so he won't lead him down that path - he wants Hank to do what what Rusty should have done, and forge his own path.

Rusty favoritism of Dean has always been a sore spot for me . Rusty so self absorbed that he can't see how great hank is. Because he can impose his will on Dean and Hank is having none of it. It was easier to deal with the favoritism when Brock was the primary body guard for the family, because Hank was flat out Brocks favorite, but Uncle Hatred also helped the boys mature and work on there growth.

You seem to forget the episode where Hank interrogates Rusty as part a fake kidnapping with Sgt Hatred, Rusty seems to favor Dean because he's certain Hank will always land on his feet while Dean always seems to struggle the way he did as a kid.

They each have good reason to think the other is the favorite. Hank "he gives Dean all the attention and support" Dean "I don't get an ounce of freedom and I'm forced to be just like him." When their relationship comes to ahead it's going to be interesting.

Back in seasons 1-3, although rusty hated them both equally, hank was more suited for the adventuring lifestyle and dean was the constant butt of jokes. Then when it was time for them to grow up, the more obedient and pliable dean became the better candidate to be the next dr. venture... no matter what, being a venture brother is not easy.

I can see Hank reaching some breaking point and joining up with Monarch or someone as a henchman. Doc always wanted him to get a job. Plus it could work as that Cain and Abel thing with Dean being a super scientist if that works out

In my theory I think the writers of this show is slowly building up towards that point where they'll decide to make Hank a villain for this season or the next season or possibly their last season

From what I understand, and I don’t remember where it says this but I remember hearing it somewhere, it’s not that Dean is his favorite, it’s that Rusty has a deeply bad read on his kids, in his eyes Dean desperately wants to be a super scientist while Hank has just been forced into all of the craziness by being a Venture

I think it was a combination of cost, and the fat that they had 7 seasons in the 17 years of was on air. Besides Adult Swim execs are probably more interested in reruns of Seth Mcfarlane's stuff and cheap to make cartoons since they produce more money.

Theres been weird instances of motion tweening since the very first season. I think its just more jarring when it happens in the later seasons because of how much the animation quality improved.

You got that scene when they fake abducted Doc and he opens up that Hank was so much like him he almost wants to apologize for how he turned out. @@juliandavidhoffer2022 Sure, but Brock not killing 21 shows that he can put aside his bloodlust if he respects someone as a combatant. 21 worked his ass off to become the most competent Hench in the arching game, and Hank is probably a more capable fighter than even 21 is. I think Hank could beat Brock if he was determined enough just based on that one episode where he became The Bat while fighting the liberated experiments and his SPHINX tests.
