HANGZHOU is a TEA PARADISE
Welcome to Hangzhou, home of my absolute favourite green tea of all time - Longjing (Dragon Well) tea. And I'm not alone. Longjing is arguably the most popular, as well as most exclusive tea in China. If you are a green tea lover like myself, you DEFINITELY need to get yourself to Hangzhou - stat!

I love green tea, even the super bitter ones. I love how refreshed I feel after a cup of tea 🍵 So grateful to actually have the opportunity to live in this country for next three-four years of my life. 💚
Please keep up the tea videos! So good!
I like your episodes,awesome enthusiastic!!!🤗🤗🤗🤗
Green Tea is amazing. Very interesting video, I know what to look out for when buying green tea
Many thanks for another amazing informative vlog. I have been to Shanghai and SuZhou previously on business but not HangZhou. Now I have another good reason why I should visit Hang Zhou, in addition to the beauty of the city and its surrounding area. Great job, as usual. 👏👏👏
I just discovered you and I don't understand why you don't have more subscribers, your vlogs are amazing

I go to Hangzhou twice a year, in spring and autumn. Yes, in spring to pick up dragon well tea, one of the best in the world. Great that you enjoy it. God bless.
Long Jing is by far my favourite green tea, too. It has some kind of very subtle, natural sweetness and an almost fruity taste. But as you mentioned, it's quite expensive in a decent quality, so unfortunately, not an everyday tea for me. :) Nice video, beautiful images. Greetings from Germany, Europe
Very informative , nice places and nice video.
It was actually Emperor Yongzheng who liked LongJing tea.
上有天堂,下有苏杭。 There is heaven above, and there are Suzhou and Hangzhou beneath your feet. These 2 cities are amazing. I never get fed up visiting them.

I once drove to Hangzhou on my motorbike from Yiwu, but found out that I can't bring a motorbike in and had to turn around and go back. Hangzhou is a beautiful city, I hope you got a chance to ride a bike around the lake. Once in Shenzhen, I went to a tea party where Hangzhou tea merchants brought bundles of tea. We got high and drunk off tea, laughed and made good times.

Sounds like quite an adventure Andrew! hate to be the downer here but don't like your chances of riding your motorbike around the west lake! It's usually quite crowded and I'm pretty sure motorbikes aren't allowed! But definitely drive your motorbike to some of the beautiful tea fields - that, I would 100% recommend!!!

Nice history lesson, didn't knew they had Instagram in ancient China but is good to know
There are too many kinds of teas in China, and I recommend one niche green tea it's calld Erzu Zen tea. It's not expensive and very good taste.
if you want to know more about chinese tea,CCTV made a series of documentaris called: "tea,a story of tree leaves",and BBC translates them into english
I'm surprised they didn't tell you to just eat the leaves as you drink it to get the max health benefits. I eat the leaves and they're delicious; it's like a nutty vegetal snack.
瓜子这段真的是有内味了

They were definitely not drinking long Jing back in the Song Dynasty. At least not the way we know it today. Before the Ming dynasty tea was drank in the powdered form.

Vasili Leung Japanese tea is essentially how Chinese tea was before Yuan dynasty I believe. The current Chinese tea is actually a Mongol invention.

If you payed 20 AUD for a glass of Longjing ... They riped you off badly! I'm a tea expert and I buy top shelf Longjing through some websites either directly from farmers or from a vendor that buys directly from farmers and 1 g should cost no more than 0,5 USD (that's super expensive). You need around 3-5 grams for a gaiwan, you can serve 4 people 5-7 infusions, so if you do the math it's really not as expensive. Da Hong Pao the most expensive tea in the history could cost 20 AUD per glass but you can't get your hands on it! But the Chinese are notorious for their shabby tricks, especially if you're a newbie to tea.
@NickChowau
4 жыл бұрын
You have not idea what you are talking about. I came from Hangzhou and 20AUD for a glass of Longjing is quite normal TBH. Some place is even more expensive than that. BTW I've never heard a tea expert will compare oolong tea with green tea side by side.
@AhimSaah

@@NickChowau Well buddy, if you're paying this much for your tea then you should probably change your tea supplier. No tea is worth that price, go buy tea leaves and make yourself some tea. Cheers!
