HANGZHOU is a TEA PARADISE

Welcome to Hangzhou, home of my absolute favourite green tea of all time - Longjing (Dragon Well) tea. And I'm not alone. Longjing is arguably the most popular, as well as most exclusive tea in China. If you are a green tea lover like myself, you DEFINITELY need to get yourself to Hangzhou - stat!

Long Jing is by far my favourite green tea, too. It has some kind of very subtle, natural sweetness and an almost fruity taste. But as you mentioned, it's quite expensive in a decent quality, so unfortunately, not an everyday tea for me. :) Nice video, beautiful images. Greetings from Germany, Europe

I once drove to Hangzhou on my motorbike from Yiwu, but found out that I can't bring a motorbike in and had to turn around and go back. Hangzhou is a beautiful city, I hope you got a chance to ride a bike around the lake. Once in Shenzhen, I went to a tea party where Hangzhou tea merchants brought bundles of tea. We got high and drunk off tea, laughed and made good times.

Sounds like quite an adventure Andrew! hate to be the downer here but don't like your chances of riding your motorbike around the west lake! It's usually quite crowded and I'm pretty sure motorbikes aren't allowed! But definitely drive your motorbike to some of the beautiful tea fields - that, I would 100% recommend!!!

If you payed 20 AUD for a glass of Longjing ... They riped you off badly! I'm a tea expert and I buy top shelf Longjing through some websites either directly from farmers or from a vendor that buys directly from farmers and 1 g should cost no more than 0,5 USD (that's super expensive). You need around 3-5 grams for a gaiwan, you can serve 4 people 5-7 infusions, so if you do the math it's really not as expensive. Da Hong Pao the most expensive tea in the history could cost 20 AUD per glass but you can't get your hands on it! But the Chinese are notorious for their shabby tricks, especially if you're a newbie to tea.

  • @NickChowau

You have not idea what you are talking about. I came from Hangzhou and 20AUD for a glass of Longjing is quite normal TBH. Some place is even more expensive than that. BTW I've never heard a tea expert will compare oolong tea with green tea side by side.
