Hangover trail - hate it or love and this is why

Another great time at the Sedona bike festival. I not only got to team up with two brands that I love Handup and Crankbrothers but we also got to put a few things together to give away. I loved getting to meet and talk to so many people. All while being able to stoked some out with new stuff from crankbrothers and handup. After Please if anyone knows who the contestants were, comment their names!!
After being at the festival we ended up venturing out to the trails. I have ridden this trail before but was excited to bring my two good friends Madison and Jarrod to check it out. And while we were riding we ran into Jeff Kendall-Weed (sorry for the typo on his name in the video) but he was out there riding a pretty unique rig… hop over to his channel to check out more on that.
Hangover is one of those trails that in my opinion you definitely have to at least do it once. And it’s part of the triple H mountain bike route. It’s a thirty mile ride which consists of the Hoggs, Hiline, and hangover. Unfortunately my friends didn’t love the trail. It was a one and done type trail for them. They would probably not want to do it again. It did have a lot of climbing and technical sections that took a lot of work. All in all we had a good time becasue no day out on bikes with your friends is a bad one. Thank you for watching everyone comment below where I should ride next. Or if there is any other must ride trails in Sedona for my next visit.

Yo from CO! I cleaned about 95% of Hangover on the up and down the other day on my 4th attempt at this trail and many years of jank/tech practice. Definitely an extreme outing/adventure that can mostly be ridden clean by jank masters but first time is a rough one for sure. Not as "fun" as Hiline but Hangover is an amazing experience.

13th comment. Hangover is a sick trail but it takes some time to figure it out and it's best to follow someone that's really familiar with it to show you the lines. Trails like Hangover are a puzzle and I'm thankful that there still are trails like that, that take a lot of effort to put all of the pieces together. Next time out this way, make sure to stop in Kingman to ride at the Whitecliffs Trail system. I've been working there for 4 years now and I promise you will really enjoy it!

You should try Gooseberry Mesa and Little Creek Mesa near Zion, and Red Canyon near Bryce in Utah. Also do a downhill with a shuttle from the top of Brian Head. That would make for a cool Utah trip for your channel.

Hangover is such a fun Trail, the ride from Cow pies up to the saddle is the most technical part… The hangover side of the trail is not that difficult, but the exposure is definitely a factor for some people. Sounds like it was a little harder than your riding partners were prepared for. The whole point of riding in Sedona to enjoy those fun techie trails. Flow trails just get so boring.

The crowds can be wrong. I think this was only the suggestion of a trail. I read some comparison between MTB and riding on the street. But that wouldn't necessarily be a fair comparison concerning the accidents because almost all accidents on the road are from vehicles, not the bike rider making a mistake. If you look at it as far as making mistakes I think on the mountain bike trail such as this one you're much more likely to be injured or worse from a mistake than you would be on the street. Beware of groupthink. This is from an almost old fart who has survived.
