Right, I'm not saying it didn't, but they were the the ones to split a movie franchise like that in two parts. Then Twilight did it, Hunger games, and Peter Jackson. Which is weird, because Peter Jackson is one of the few directors that can effectively condense a book like The Fellowship of the Ring, into a stand alone movie, and its great. Let alone splitting an even shorter book into three parts.

That was 3 films based on 3 novels though. The Hobbit was 3 films based on 1 child's novel. I liked Mockinjay part 1 but saw a lot of editable material, The Hunger Games books barely qualify as novels they are so small, they did 't need to street it. Unlike Harry Potter, which could have done with a few more films overall.

Actually, LOTR was 3 films based on 6 books released in 3 volumes. They literally could have justified making LOTR 6 movies, one per book. (personally I think 3 was fine thank you)

Tcrump, you obviously speak for the masses when you try promoting your love of 5-6hour movies... Or, well, you know... Not! In my teens/early uni days I worked in a cinema, it would not have been lucrative or enjoyable for us or our patrons to have them sit for 5-6 hrs, plus, you have to bear in mind that though there are fans of all ages, the majority are teens (not pre-teens), having kids stay out (late) at night is not very safe if they have to get public transport home (if parents don't have cars). They are giving what *most* of the fans want, if you want a long film, why not just wait until they are all finished and watch them all in one go, problem sorted for you. I enjoyed the films, it doesn't amuse me when people bash another person for something they have minimal control over... Like singing voice, the girl freely admits to not being a comfortable singer, I think she did a good job, I liked the natural & raw aspect to her voice, it has charm and authenticity. Ultimately this is poking fun, but it's not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things, so let's all kum-by-ya ;)

Yeah! It's just sometimes I wish they would focus on the plot that's there instead of still cutting that plot and adding new plot! (It's usually because what's cut is like important conversations but I want to see that stuff, or I want to see the characters expanded on with the extra room instead of adding more plot to cover!)

Reading the comment section...people do like to get offended! I loved the original song, it reminded me of old folk songs, that had story and meaning in it. And I thought the Hunger Games films weren't so bad, they were much better than most other films in terms of storyline and such. And I loved this too, was hilarious, particulary bringing in the ever-so-debated moral of marketing for kids/teenagers.

the song is not about them committing suicide, it is actually about a man who has been hung who sings to his love to hang herself too, in the same tree, so they can be together. But yeah, the rebels sing it (not dis12 I think in this case,) so I guess they are singing it as a suicide song.

To everyone who thinks I am making what I said up and that I am incorrect all I want you do is READ THE ORIGINAL TEXT from Mockingjay then you will see that the song is about two people killing them selves

It was a well made parody, but NOT really objective. Making fun of Jenifer's voice when in fact her voice is really sweet. Same goes for Lorde. And who the hell should mind that a book is being transfered to multiple movies? That's better than making one movie and cutting off a lot of scenes.

Of course I'd agree to a 3-4 hours movie if it was worth it. But usually 2 hours is the max I can sit through. So no, I would NOT like to have a 4-6 hours movie.

They needn't have split it if true one film may have missed out seems but so has two the first part is rushed it misses out lots of things and ends closer to the end than if it was split equally which is kinda annoying I'm a real die hard hunger games fan and what they've done to this movie in particular has changed it for me the first one sucked compared to the book the second is amazing compared to the first as it is so true to the book and the third is too rushed for the storyline to work but still EPIC LOVE YOU JENNIFER LAWRENCE AND THE HUNGER GAMES BRING ON MOCKINGJAY PART 2

Many people get their perception of Kim Jong from parody videos, which have a tendency to play him for laughs, and therefore make him look like a laughably inept joke of a dictator. The truth is that NK maintains friggen CONCENTRATION CAMPS for 'political prisoners' (aka absolutely anyone that the government doesn't like). I would recommend reading some of the horror stories that NK refugees have told about their time spent as prisoners in the country, except that I really don't want to be responsible for your nightmares.

Even though I enjoy hearing The Hanging Tree when it plays on the radio, I do have to agree with the points that Mark and the gang made in this video. Yes, Jennifer Lawrence may not be the greatest singer, but her voice is certainly just as good, if not better than many "professional" singers. I prefer listening to her sing than listen to Shakira, Carly Rae Jepson, Mike Posner, or Iggy Azalea.

Was it really necessary to make fun on Lorde and Jennifer's voices? I mean that's just rude. There's nothing wrong with their voices in the slightest, they can both sing, and Jen's isn't "husky". You know it took Jen a lot of courage to do this. She wanted Lorde to sing for her, but she did it. I know I wouldn't be brave enough. I can barely get myself to sing alone or with friends for a laugh not even being serious about it, never mind on something like this! The making fun of the fans was extremely rude also.
