The Cub is a classic aircraft adored by both full-scale and model aviation pilots. Its flying characteristics and design versatility are so well known practically every new aircraft is compared to it. The CubCrafters FX-3 is the latest variation on the Carbon Cub series. The full scale FX3 features an all-new engine and a high-speed propeller in a lightweight platform. Hangar 9® is proud to introduce the largest and most modern Cub in a complete ARF format for the giant scale RC pilot.
For the giant scale sport, scale and sailplane pilot, the new Hangar 9® Carbon Cub FX-3 100-200cc is the largest Cub we've ever created and one of the largest in the market featuring superb scale details with the incredible flight performance Hangar 9 customers expect. Featuring a 165-inch wingspan, this massive model is the embodiment of giant scale, yet is practical enough to fly every day. The two-piece wings with folding wing struts and removable stabs allow for convenient transportation and set up. It comes with multiple scale details including a scale, sprung undercarriage that uses a solid machined damper with heavy duty springs as per the full scale aircraft, cockpit panel, tow release, super scale tail wheel assembly, and more meaning this Carbon Cub will turn heads everywhere you fly it. Like the full-size Cub, shock-absorbing 8.5" inch tires with aluminum hubs take most of the bounce out of tough terrain. The two-piece fiberglass cowl allows for easy access to engine and fuel system while the high-density 3S Lipo compatible LED landing and navigation lights shine bright for added realism. Designed to accept 100 - 200cc gasoline engines, the complete hardware kit is included and makes mounting the power system quick and easy. Those full flap wheelers are amazing, it seems the bigger the model the more 'scale like' they fly.
There is something romantic about this airfield that's why I fly it on RF9. I guess it's whear all these beautiful aircraft make to sky's for the first time.

Thank you for this great video! This plane is so beautiful (even with those stupid graphics :D ) I have some rc copters and also have FMS Piper Cub plane that's simple and very nice to fly, a great fun until I crashed it when my transmitter suddenly died. I really want to buy a large scale plane just like this and now I have some savings to buy it, but I really don't know if I ever have a courage to fly it because I've had too much problems with transmitters, receivers and other electrical things. My first copter was 4-channel V913 that carried easily my GoPro clone camera, surprisingly nice copter for training and I took some good videos with it, but all 3 batteries I bought went bad in 2 months, they all bulged and went like balloons and I had to throw them away. Same thing happened to my little V911 copter batteries so I really have some trust issues with these things :D If I buy this plane I will hang it to my living room ceiling so I can watch it and dream of flying :D

I have the 90" carbon cub with a dle 20ra it's an awesome plane flys great and honestly it's a big plane you won't go wrong with it but I'll most definitely will be getting the the new 165"

So I just bought one and I would really love to do an electric conversion on it I don't know if any of your readers pick him up with the proper specs motor ESC battery etc

When your a kid and your into rc oh look it’s only 200 that’s not bad then you see this hoping you can afford it but it’s 1700 dollars. Still a very nice model and I hope who ever gets it enjoys it
