De La Hoya didn't win every big fight but what made him one of the greats is that he fought everyone he could and did not duck anyone. He fought Chavez, Whitaker, Quartey, Trinidad, Mayweather, Vargas was dangerous then, Hopkins even Pacquaio when he really didn't need to as Pac Man was the man and Oscar was just about done with his career.

They are his shows are on Dazn worldwide platform. Forsure he is the best promoter in America as for the world it’s between him and Eddie Hearns and Turki and now even Jake Paul with this Netflix. Crawford couldn't have fought already because Spence waited 6 months later, to announce that the rematch would not be happening because of his cataract surgery. For those 6 months Crawford had to honor the rematch clause, up until Errol informed us about his surgery. Now you can say Crawford has been inactive for 3 months since Spence' announcement, but not the first 6 months. That 6 month inactive period for Crawford was unfortunate but it was out of his control. Maybe Spence could've had the surgery a lot sooner than 6 months after the fight.

@@gi2050 That rematch clause went out of the window in late January of this year, once Errol announced he had the cataract surgery & would need 6 to 8 weeks of recovery, the rematch clause was null in void at that time in January, so yes. the Canelo fight could've happened in May, because the Spence rematch clause already was null in void 4 months before that 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️

Fighters are looking for the best opportunity to make the most money. So the best fights dont happen cause once they have 1L they think they are not the same draw. Promoters as well need to take less and they would get more fights meaning more money over a longer period. Or you can get one lump sum, but who really cares about the fans then.

Boxers fight less because of the huge purses that are being demanded and expected by the top fighters. They pay them big & put them on the shelf for a yr or 2. PERIODT. 👀
