So glad to see you back! We've missed you round here buddy! You seriously need a regular TV show. I hope that whatever kept you away is all free and clear for you and that you can get some peace and spend some more time showing us more tricks!
Thanks for the tip John
When you coming back for good. You was the 1st channel that got me wanting to be out in the woods more often & using more homemade gear then buying that expensive stuff in the store. Showed me I could make it. Well I'm still using that Dr. Pepper can to this day. Please come back with weekly videos. Thanks Chris from Missouri
I like the concept. I never thought to color code them, but I'm definitely doing that now. Thanks for sharing another video. Glad to see you're still around. I miss your videos.
Cool idea. the color coordination is a great use for this. Especially when telling someone what pouch it’s in. Thanks again for another great tip.
Excellent tips. If it hasn't already been mentioned, releasable/reusable zip ties in all sorts of sizes are great also.
A great reminder of a simple fix with the use of zip ties for all of us. Thanks!
Somehow I missed this video! I always keep one zip tie in my pack for if needed. Good Tip!👍😀
Glad to have you back john

Great video
I use this method on my pack, helps me to unzip stuff quickly, without having to fumble around with the tiny zipper pulls it comes with. I like this idea for coats as well!
Good to see you back! Look forward to more cool tips.
Hi John, I got a tip for you: - cut two 12"pieces of race bicycle inner tire. - loop each piece in between the strap and foam of you backpack strap at sternum height. - close each loop with a tight zip tie placed at 1" from the end of the two ends, so you can hold and stretch the loop easily. Now you have 2 rubber loops on your chest to put a two bottles in. Because you now carry your water in front this compensates the backpack's weight and improves balance. Taking a sip of water, or filling it up is quick, likewise is checking your supply. Enjoy!
Welcome back, John! We've missed you.

Great tip John. I've been using 3/32" tactical cord loops for added zipper pulls BUT... they don't hang open for easy use with gloves like the zip ties would. I'm going to need those gloves too this month so... I'm going to the garage and get my bag of zip ties. Thanks my friend, good to see you again...
Nice to see you making videos again! Missed them!

I replaced the ring locks on my frame backpack with doubled up zip ties and saved quite a bit of weight. I always carry a couple of spares, but so far I've never needed them.

The zipper pull is fine, but you still must take off the gloves to get the zipper ends engaged.
@IntenseAngler

Yeah, it can certainly be a bit tricky to engage the zippers on some winter jackets for sure.
Happy new year John I hope everything is going well.
Hi John. From the UK. 😊

Hey buddy! Great hearing from ya over there across the pond :)
Welcome back. It was a long wait. HAPPY NEW YEAR! The cut ends of the zip ties are usually sharp and can cut bags and jackets, a simple remedy is to round them of by melting with a lighter.
@IntenseAngler
6 жыл бұрын
Appreciate that my friend. Happy New Year to you as well! Couldn't agree more about making sure those ends are taken care of so as not to potentially damage gear. Thank you for taking the time to add that in :)

No problem, you have helped me many times.
Thats a Great idea John! Its been awhile, i hope all is good with You and your Family! Take care my Friend!
Happy New Year! And, I'll keep the echo resounding: welcome, friend! Great idea for the pull tabs that color code pockets. I fear the zip tie might be a snag peril and super scratchy, not just on the cut end. (Yeah, I'm the sort that cut tags out of my clothes lol) Seems like a great use for the cheap, colorful "paracord" You've got me thinking, for sure.
Glad to have you back John! You, your videos, and your tips have been missed. How's Kado?
@IntenseAngler
6 жыл бұрын
Thank you Ethan... really appreciate that my friend! Ol' Kado's doing well... in fact just may be seeing him in a video here soon :)
Hope you are back for good this time John!
Great to see ya uploading again! Hope you have a great 2018! ... and maybe we will get another video or three! Lol
Just remember to knock down the sharp corners where you made your cut. You don’t want to have your new pull snagging on everything. Those edges are sometimes quite the little stickers!
heeeeey! long time no see!!
Did you just in essence tie a zip tie to a zip? My bet for the next video: zipping a zip tie to a tie! Great to see you back btw!
I use paracord knots on my school bag and bugout bag. I swear you can do just about anything if you have enough ductape, zipties, and 550 paracord.
I almost forgot about your channel completely.
