Handy contrast and exposure hack in Photoshop CC - The Levels Bump
Oh yes, this is the final step in my workflow and it has been for about 6 or 7 years now. Maybe I should find a new hack but this one works great for me! Essentially, what you're doing with this is closing the gap between the end range of whites in your image to the max whites you could possibly have, and then the same on the other side.
This checks for blown highlights, clipped shadows and more - it's a great final step and I personally wouldn't be without it.
Hope it's helpful!

Great tip! Really good finishing touch!
Super helpful, especially the masking bit as my boys have white bits that often want to clip! I also saw you had some coloured gradient and colour fill layers that I would looooooove some more info on how you use x
Very helpful advice to complete an image correctly xxxxx

What if we already have clippings on the edges of the histogram?

Check to see if they are also in the original file/RAW file - if they are clipped there, really there is nothing you can do. If they are NOT clipped there, awesome news, just run back through your layers to the culprit for the blown highlights and either remove, tone down or mask through on the clipped areas and check again ☺️
