the issue with the video mic or video mic pro is the design of their cold shoe mount. the base is not really flat and will not stay inside most cold shoes. if you buy different cold shoe for the video mic it will work great, but their mic support doesn't seem to allow removing the cold shoe. so not sure how to do it - I think it's Rode's fault

Nice video! Looking at the New Nitze side handle - Do you know if after a year it starts getting sticky or the ergonomics starts to wear off? I'm considering this handle but I'm wondering about the long term use. Thanks a lot.

@@MichaelSchmidt_UrbnPxl why the issue with the videomic and the smallrig wooden handles? doesn't tightening with the base rings lock the mic base into place?
