The Hand. God's gift to Man. The tragedy of modern times is to have lost the joy that manual work offers. The Bankers are responsible, and so are the consumers. Easy sheep. Just look at the dignity of the craftsmen, and you'll understand that they were on the right path. We're lost.

The title says this is Part 1, but there’s obviously content missing. Very frustrating!
I CAN APPRECIATE a dying or dead 'art" for a living I know and lived one myself in the mid 80's With a professional background in photography I spent 8 years 40-60 hours a week using the largest format film camera in the United States( film size 60" x144" ) I worked for a subcontractor for the department of defense (DOJ)and nasa contractors everything was :"hand" developed no processors used I worked on ...just to name a few Space shuttle mx missiles nuke subs spy satellites and early(military only) gps etc. An entire billion dollar industry wiped out by the advent of digital scanners and plotters and photoshop One year after i left ...GONE
