Hi, my metallic thread breaks several times during each tree and sometimes even my needle 😮😢 the material with the bondaweb seems too much for it to get through 😢 Any ideas please? 😊 thank you 😊

For this project, we used a rayon thread. When we do use a metallic thread, we make sure we use something like the Thread Director to help us with that. We do not have a problem sewing through the fabrics and Heat n Bond Fusible when we use a Jeans needle. Be sure to watch the full tutorial here for Jens tips and tricks. www.shabbyfabrics.com/free-downloads-and-video/456/how-to-make-a-layered-christmas-tree-ornament Hope this helps! - Abby

I literally had the same question ⁉️❓ about the cutter the little iron you can get from just about anywhere Walmart, hobby lobby, Michael's, etc for about $10-20 depending on brand. They're made for crafts and really convenient to use for small projects.

I have 2 of those little irons & I think one works better than the other. 1 of them you can actually put water in & the other you cannot. I honestly think the 1 you put water in works better then the 1 you cannot. Not sure if the moisture is what helps it work better or not. But you might wanna get 1 you can put water in.

Yes, we used a Sulky rayon thread for the decorative stitching. I think it may be this one: www.shabbyfabrics.com/p116363 -Michelle
