Of the great baroque pieces I had the honor of singing with the Bel Canto chorus and Milwaukee Symphony in the early 1980s, this was my most cherished (along with Charpentier and Bruckner). Never to be forgotten, as our 200-voice chorus "Hear us O Lord" concluded in that fantastic fortissimo, the entire audience at a packed Uihlein Hall was thereupon silent, seeming to calculate whether, or when, to applaud. It was a sacred moment - a sacred moment to the utmost which I will eternally remember. Tribute to Maestro James Keeley.

This isn't the stated recording. It's from the late 60s I think. Alexander Young is v good, but the (unnamed) choir is very wobbly.
