I've been a goalie for 30 years... but have never been coached. So, I'm absolutely LOVING these videos.
I heard a broadcaster on the CA vs USA IIHF game complaining about how goalies have their hands too much in front of them these days, unlike the baseball players from the old days. I instantly thought about this video, since learning to keep my hands where I can actually see them from this video absolutely helped my save % I point every goalie I know to this content, totally amazing learning resource
Threw this in my last game and wow what a difference! The 45° made my glove so much more effective and also took the strain off my shoulder. Now I always hear the "You still got work to do!" In my head after a rebound.
As a father that has played a lot of hockey (not as a tendy) teaching my first year goalie daughter (9yrs old) the position, your youtube channel is our go to learning tool, great content for any level goalie! teaching her, hands out front, watch the puck enter your glove! She's catching so many more puck and not just knowing them down. great work ! Can't wait to get her in one of your camps one day!
