Welcome back to O’Hare International Airport where I’ll be flying American out of Terminal 3 to Orlando and Walt Disney World!! We got here 2 hours before our flight and we had to run an errand beforehand but I did stop at some restrooms along the way. That left us with 40 minutes to spare until boarding to go and film the remaining dryers in the terminal. We didn’t have time to get to Terminal 2 on Monday but we were able to visit there on Saturday after we landed back.
Dryers featured:
1. Bobrick DuraDry (1/2) - 0:10
Remarks: Epic start again! There was a CompacDryer and a Nova 2 beforehand.
2. Bobrick CompacDryer (1/4) - 0:48
Remarks: The women’s room kept the CompacDryer! Thanks mom for the video!
3. 4 Bobrick DuraDrys (2/2) - 1:05
Remarks: WOW, FOUR of them!! This was an interesting restroom with two entrances. There were people over by the last two. My friend Nathan retook the last one.
4. 6 Sloan AER-DECs (1/5) - 1:54
Remarks: DRY.
5. Sloan AER-DECs (2/5) - 2:36
Remarks: While these are a worthy replacement of old dryers during renovation, I will sure miss them!
6. World Dryer Model A - 2:56
Remarks: The women’s has a newer XA, as I saw from outside.
7. Nova 2 (1/3) - 3:15
Remarks: Struck chrome!!!
8. Bobrick AirCraft (1/5) - 3:39
Remarks: This was made in the 12th week of 2004. This dryer name matches very well with an airport!
9. Bobrick CompacDryer (2/4) - 3:49
Remarks: You have to go past the food court and this restroom is located behind it in the hall that connects concourses H and K together.
10. 4 Sloan AER-DECs (3/5) - 4:00
Remarks: One of these was being used so I just did 3.
11. Nova 2 (2/3) - 4:20
Remarks: My second sleeping Nova 2 in this airport.
12. Nova 2s (3/3) - 4:33
Remarks: I remember being in this restroom before!
13. Sloan AER-DECs (4/5) - 4:45
Remarks: I forgot how many there were in this restroom. I decided to skip Gates L20-L24 as we were pressed for time and I knew I’d just find AER-DECs because those are new gates.
14. Bobrick AirGuard (1/2) - 4:53
Remarks: There’s another one in the Rotunda restroom.
15. Bobrick AirCraft (2/5) - 5:18
Remarks: This was made in the 33rd week of 2005.
16. Bobrick CompacDryer (3/4) - 5:33
Remarks: EPIQUE again!!! Terminal 2 hasn’t remodeled their restrooms so we got more gold to strike!
17. Bobrick AirCraft (3/5) - 6:01
Remarks: NO WAY!!!! Rare in black, but no date code. The motor was a little rattley, a good sign of age.
18. “ASi” Nova 4U (1/2) - 6:16
Remarks: STRUCK PLATINUM!!!! THE find of the entire airport!! It’s definitely showing its age with the rough startup. The womens has a push button ASi Nova 5, as I saw from outside.
19. Bobrick CompacDryer (4/4) - 6:59
Remarks: This was made in the 22nd week of 2012 and I didn’t expect it to be that old because when I was in this restroom 6 years ago, there was another black Nova 4. At least the one at E8 was left behind.
20. Bobrick AirCraft (4/5) - 7:18
Remarks: Back in Terminal 3 to claim our bags and we have this decent dryer to wrap up the adventure! The other restroom located on the east side of the bag claim also has this. Like the first AirCraft, this was made in the 12th week of 2004.
UPDATE: I went back to the airport on July 30th on a flight out to Boston and I filmed some more stuff, including one more set of AER-DECs, one more Bobrick AirCraft, and one more Nova 4 that will be found on separate videos.
