Hanan ben Ari is an Israeli singer and performer, he is singing in Hebrew. The song is a prayer for his children, how time flies and his children are growing up. It's a prayer that we should be present to watch our children grow up, that they be happy and healthy and get along with each other. Really like your reaction!

During the speaking part: He blesses the crowd that their children won't hear another siren from a bomb falling and their children will be safe. And that we always love our children . Being that every person in that crowd has experienced war and running from falling bombs its an emotional blessing to give.

I was at this concert,.. this is chanan Ben Ari singing " amen on / for the children " I think he wrote this song right before or during COVID. It is his wife at the beginning of the song (with the headscarf). You are spot on that its his children on the screens behind him. He is singing about having children and the process he went through and about growing to appreciate them and the blessing. Please notice that this concert was in June 2021 when we were involved in the exercise of protective edge - thousands of rockets were falling on israel, our sons needed to go defend the country on the borders and within the towns. It was a time when COVID was finally under control here... we were allowed to attend outdoor concerts and then suddenly for 10 days all hell broke loose and Rockets were being shot all the way to Tel Aviv. At the end of the concert he is blessing the crowd, their children and the country. Basicly asking G-d for protection for all of us. the crying you see and the emotion in the crowd represents all of our emotions at the time. Again, thank you so much for your reviews. WE LoVE it !

Gosh it must’ve been amazing to see that live! I’ve been trying to get more into Israeli music and this definitely takes the cake. It’s so beautiful to see Klal Yisrael in all walks of life sing along with so much Achdut, not caring about each others level of observance or background. This is exactly what we need on a regular basis, it’s so beautiful❤

Israeli Jews absolutely adore and love all their children, they know they are their future and they show their love outwardly. If you go on a bus with a baby and packages, strangers will offer to hold your baby, they smile when they see children, they will gave parenting advice to strangers, they feel like a family, They don't get annoyed with kids being kids.

"Praying for the Kids of Mine" How time flies, hard to grasp that I'm a father Waking up from childhood into the reality I live in [I] Remember being out of breath after three [kids] I said, "Wait," you said, "You'll see, they'll grow up a bit and you"ll understand." Suddenly they're six [kids], soon to be seven, and how amazing they are But the pressure intensified, built itself a tower The heart only has two rooms And the conscience's working even on Saturdays and holidays You've been the Mother of the Year for years [Yet] I'm still captive with fears that... I won't make it [in time], To arrive To guard, To save, To rescue To take the bullet for them Oh, how vulnerable is the heart I pray that the kids of mine Won't inherit my scars\issues\blemishes That they'd embrace\strengthen each other Amen, shall they be healthy always [I] want to be there for them just like I promised To sit at the end of the day, knowing I've succeeded Meanwhile [I'm] counting small victories, happy I didn't escape To the bathroom or the computer, I just stopped and listened To [their] stories about birds To the thoughts, to the drawings To the dreams they'll fulfill someday To the heroes, to the princesses With [their] silent eyes There's a sea of secrets if you truly listen I pray that my kids Won't inherit my scars\issues\blemishes That they'd embrace\strengthen each other Amen, shall they be healthy always Amen Amen Amen! [Pray] upon the kids of mine Won't inherit my scars\issues\blemishes That they'd embrace\strengthen each other Amen, shall they be healthy always That they'd embrace each other Amen, shall they be healthy always [I'm] standing, observing from [up on] the gallery Looking [out] from the sidelines, cheering on Even in the abyss, even in the Heaven [I'll be] leaving it all [and coming] to be there Just embrace each other Amen, shall they be healthy always that's the song. He then bestows blessings on the crowd and they reply Amen: That our kids shall: always be healthy. always be happy, never hear the sound of a [bomb] siren... never know of war in their lifetime no one hurt\abuse them, their body or soul, not in class nor on the street always remember that we love\cherish them ...

The translation of the speech he gave at the end is: Say Amen for our children (Amen) May they always be healthy (Amen) may they be happy always (amen) May they not hear one more alarm in their lives (Amen) May they never know another war in their lives (Amen) That no one will hurt them - not in body, not in soul, not in the classroom and not on the street May they always remember and always know that we love them. Even when we don't always show it and we don't have patience, we love them endlessly. There is no end. The translation of this hymn: Praying for my children, that they will not inherit my scratches (craziness), that they will hug each other. May they always be healthy.

BTW the children that appear on the screens are not just his own. Prior to releasing it he'd asked fans to share videos of them with their kids and the videos they sent appear in the official clip. The beauty of it is (and it's something you can see in his concerts as well) that he'd recieved videos from many many people, young and old, religious and ultra religious as well as secular, people from all walks of life in every possible color. He is loved by many because he sings about life, about our struggles, and our triumphs. he inspires to think well and do well. he is compassionate and simply loaded with talent. Amazing lyrics (his son helps him write sometimes :) and catchy music. WOW

Sadly, this beautiful song about fatherhood and the concerns that our children not inherit our scars and wounds and the worries about how to protect them, is ironic now, given the brutal and savage slaughter of Israeli youth at a Nature Trance in Israel and the young children and babies slaughtered. Thx for posting this. May the hostages be returned safely

Hi I am from Israel. KZread recommended this video to me. I immediately recognized the singer in the thumbnail image. So I clicked on this video. I know this singer. He is simply a singer with an exciting voice!! I love him very much. This song talks about hoping that the children will be protected and that they will never be harmed. May they hug each other, and may they be healthy. In addition to that, the security situation here in Israel was a bit dangerous. And there were children who died or were injured by missiles. So at the end he talks about "amen" that they will be healthy and amen that they will never harm their bodies and souls, from war and in the school and in anyplace. And that's why this song is so emotional. I was excited about him too. I really like this song. and listens to him a lot. im so love this reaction video, and If you would like recommendations for content from Israel or songs, I will be happy to send you links to songs or Israeli content :)) have a good day:)

Here you have the English translation of the song lyrics Oh, how time flies, still hard to grasp that I'm a father1 Waking up from being a child into the reality I live in Remember being out of breath after three kids I said, "Wait," you said, "You'll see, they'll grow up and you will understand." Suddenly they're six, soon to be seven, and how amazing they are But the pressure grew intense, built itself a tower The heart only has two rooms And the conscience's working even on Saturdays and holidays You've been the Mother of the Year for years I'm still terrified that... I won't make it in time To guard, to save, to rescue To take the bullet for them Oh, how vulnerable is the heart I pray that my kids Won't inherit my issues That they'd embrace each other May they'll be healthy forever, amen I want to be there for them just like I promised To sit at the end of the day, knowing I've succeeded Meanwhile I'm counting small victories, happy I didn't run away To the bathroom or the computer, I just stopped and listened To the stories about birds To the thoughts, to the drawings To the dreams they'll fulfill someday To the heroes, to the princesses With their silent eyes There's a sea of secrets if you truly listen I pray that my kids Won't inherit my issues That they'd embrace each other May they'll be healthy forever, amen I pray, pray, pray that my kids Won't inherit my issues That they'd embrace each other May they'll be healthy forever, amen I'm standing, looking from the sidelines Watching from the outside, cheering on Even from the abyss, even from the sky I'll drop everything to be there Just embrace each other May you'll be healthy forever, amen

The end when he speaks is: Say amen for our children So they will always be healthy So they will always be happy So they won’t hear any alerts (particularly missile alerts which happens sometimes in Israel) So they won’t know any war in their whole life So nobody would hurt them physically or mentally Not in class nor the street So they will know and remember we love them And even if we don’t show it always Because we are impatient at the moment we love them indefinitely And chorus again At the very end he looks at all his kids at the screen (7)

FULL TRANSLATION: Oh, how time flies, still hard to grasp that I'm a father1 Waking up from being a child into the reality I live in Remember being out of breath after three kids I said, "Wait," you said, "You'll see, they'll grow up and you will understand." Suddenly they're six, soon to be seven, and how amazing they are But the pressure grew intense, built itself a tower The heart only has two rooms And the conscience's working even on Saturdays and holidays You've been the Mother of the Year for years I'm still terrified that...

I don't know if anyone recommended to you, but - take a listen to Shlomo and Eitan Katz, two brothers who are awesome both on their own and when they come together. Personal recommendation: An Everlasting Love (by Eitan and Shlomo, it's better than the solo versions IMO) and Ki Karov (by Eitan - check out the Live in Jerusalem version).

Some review suggestions: 1) An amazing collaboration between Mordechai Shapiro and Benny Friedman by DJ Matt Dubb called L’Chai Olamim 2) Zaltz Band has the most incredible musical arrangements and recently did a video with Yoni Z who is a young fun singer. For some insight into what Orthodox Jewish wedding dancing/music can look like!!

Wow. You're amazing. To translate it without even understanding what he says. I remember when i first heard this song i was so emotional about the lyrics and the way he sings it. He's Israel's one of the top rockstars. The job you did for this and Tania is just Awesome 😎 Keep the great job. Try Habaita by Yishai Ribo. Another saul singer in israel.

Really enjoy your comments. Music is the expression of the soul. It seems to me that you gravitate towards the slow, emotional music, when the singers express their inner feelings. You may love a Kumzitz style performance, where the songs are generally slow and emotional. Ishay and Hanan are both Sephardic Jews (Middle Eastern, Yemen, Morocco Etc.). I think they tend to be more emotional than the European Jews. As you can see form the Sephardic crowd, they are more free to express their emotions in public. That freedom of expression is felt in the way they sing.

Motty Shteinmetz, Avraham Fried... they are Ashkenaz and emotional. I think it depends on the singer, not on Ashkenazi or Sephardi.

I think the beauty of this performance is how every type of Jew, ashkenaz, Sephardi, Mirachi, orthodox, secular, etc are all together singing along with Achdut. None of it matters at the end of the day, we are all Jews, one nation. What makes us strong is unity, not comparison.
