O trabalho braçal exigia força de muitas pessoas que precisavam erguer uma grande pedra amarrada com cordas e deixá-la cair várias e várias vezes até conseguir compactar a terra.
Com o passar do tempo, a música virou tema de festivais, sendo hoje um símbolo da província de Yamagata.

I am from Japan and have been seeking Hanagasa song on youtube and finally I found the best Hanagasa song. And it seems this video is from Brazil. Amazing!! I am really love it. I went to Hanagasa dance festival in Yamagata this year:)
I was a Buddhist (sect Niciren Shoshone) growing up in L.A. They had an all girl marching band. I _layed drums & we played this song. We also had to say “Yasho Makasho”.

This masterpiece kinda reminds me of the old ladies who are singing, playing darbuka and kaşık in my village they sing on similar pitch

Super melodious song. Even though I don't understand the meaning, the music is fantastic. It would be better English subtitles given like Indonesian songs.
