Han is such an amazing lyricist…. His ability to portray emotions, both light and dark, is just something I am constantly in awe of. He, along with 3racha & the rest of Stray Kids, bring something so soulful, heartfelt and honest to their music. It connects with me on a level that I can’t explain. I love this song so much… Han is just a talent that should never, ever be dismissed or undervalued.

Han Jisung is my ult bias and there are a lot of reasons for that. First, his personality is very (read VERY) similar to mine. Introvert with social/crowd anxiety? Me. All over the place, loud and funny when comfortable and around close friends? Me. Then of course, his endless talents. Rap, singing, songwriting, producing, dancing, etc. Also, he is insanely handsome nad cute at the same time. Dangerous combination. And lastly, it's his meaningful, deep and sad lyrics that anybody can relate to. Stray Kids write things that have meaning but Han's songs are the ones that literally always hit different. Plus this type of music (Volcano, Slump, Alien, Close, Wish You Back, etc.) is one of my favorite music and I know that Han loves this genre as well. We are soulmates. He is my spirit animal. I don't know what other way I can describe it. This song is def one of my favorites by Han (along side with Alien, Wish You Back, I See, etc.) Thank you for your videos, Caitlin! I totally agree with everything you said. Idk why, Han’s not even my bias, but I feel like he’s a very relatable person and his song’s are truly beautiful. He’s quite amazing in everything he does and I really relate to him with the things he writes about. Also, side note, I know you probably didn’t mean anything by it, but unless you’re of Native American decent, please don’t use the term spirit animal if you’re not referring to an actual spirit animal, it can be seen as offensive to Native American cultures.

han jisung is one of, if not THE best lyricists i've ever come across in kpop. his ability to change effortlessly between chest and head voice is INSANE. the duality between his vocals and rapping just tug at your heartstrings. he truly has a talent in using his emotions, good or bad, into something beautiful. the industry is lucky to have such a genius producing the songs that he does. han jisung, 4th gen ace! in my eyes, he's untouchable.

All of the things you said about his writing style, you said them so well :(( To me his songs are always such a particular type of experience - and I don't know how he does it, but they just reach so deeply. Here in particular, I loved the way his voice interacted with the instrumental, how the music sometimes overpowered him and his voice seemed to drown in it at times. I personally interpret it in a way that's similar to Voices and Silent cry, like the music is all of the thoughts in one's head and the singing voice(s) is either the thing you're trying to hold onto to ground yourself, or someone else reaching out from the outside to pull you out of your own head. The lyrics were beyond beautiful and I cried the first time I read them - I love it when the heavy stuff is carried by simple things and Hannie is masterful in that regard ❤️ honestly, Volcano might become my favourite song of his, but I'll wait a bit to make that judgement. Volcano by Han clearly to answer Limbo by Lee Know, no doubt. Here’s further explanation: Volcano is about confessing their love more to a person that’s hurt more like a concept of It’s okay not to be okay kinda vibe. *I’ll embrace the wounds you shed* It’s mean han will always be there for ‘the person’ even at their lowest, he will be there and support the other. Same goes for this lyrics: *Unlike those who run away from you, I’ll embrace you* *To me, you’re already a sin* This could mean so many things. Like you said it can be refer as the sin of being in the relationship and it also can be meant as the other person is to good to be true to accept his love. *Hug my body Even if it’s hurt, it’s okay* This lyrics sound tricky, but I’m pretty sure he meant that it’s okay to be hurt, just hug my body as comfort. The translation might switch it a bit making it sound a bit toxic in english. You can see the word ‘Even’ the E is in capital letter it’s mean the start of the word. Read the words separately and you will see it make more sense. Limbo is about him wishing to confess but instead he can only quietly confess to himself. My boy to scared to confess, the lyrics of: *‘I know one word would make a change, the word I could not say’* shows he clearly regret not confessing till now. He keep trying to call ‘the person’ to confess as the lyrics said: *‘So that I won’t be in pain in the dream, I’ll call quietly’.* At the end, he change it to: *‘So that you won’t be in pain in that dream, I’ll call quietly’* means he knows the other person felt the same way but there’s a wall between them or the uncertainty of lee know’s side will confuse the other person as whether eo feeling the same way. More lyrics back and forth, Han answering Lee Know: Limbo: *Would I return to the past if I want* Volcano: *Even if I go back hundreds of times, my choice is always you* Limbo: *Part of you that only I could see* Volcano: *The scars of the wounds that covered my heart, As if only you could notice them* Limbo: *Would you think of me once in a while* Volcano: *When I’m thinking of you, my mind is like a volcano*

Late to this video but just wanted to say Han's songs have always been some of my favorite. He's so insanely talented it's unfair. Fun fact: Chan actually produced and arranged the track but gave it to Han to see if he felt like he could use it for some lyrics he had and after listening to it Han was like, " actually, I have a really cool idea for this track" and that's how Volcano came to exist!!
