I have Italian Louie the 16th antiques and i decorate spring, lemons and bees, 4th of July, costal, fall xmas,valentines and I enjoy it all. My house , my decor and family and friends all love it. So you’re right…do what you live,lol❤

I don't care what type of house you live in, or what type of area you live in, you can absolutely decorate in ANY style that reflects your taste!!! One of my favorite rooms you decorated in the big house, is the sunroom area in the aqua and white coastal style. It still remains one of my favorite videos, and I revisit it often. I love the coastal theme, too! It's my house and my cottage and I live in my house and stay at my cottage on a lake and if I want to decorate my home and cottage with antiques and coastal, then I do what makes me happy! 😊❤😊

After July 4th decor comes down, I'm getting ready to do a coastal farmhouse theme in my family room. I have a replica of my grandparents barn, adding some cowboy boots with coastal sprays and cottonwood. Then adding a burlap banner and a few shells, drift wood, etc.

So happy you gave us a view of Pittsburgh. I have only passed through it but never stopped. Happy you addressed the topic of decorating with your personal taste and what reflects you and your family or the season. I live in the Rocky Mtn region. I have pieces that reflect our area but I also love the beach and have areas of my home reflecting our love of the sea. We also have travelled the world and have pieces from our travels. It's more enjoyable to be in your home when it reflects your taste , not the trends often pushed on society.

Liz…you are so right !! I was born in Glendale, California, and have lived in Pittsburgh for 30 year, and I have a beautiful shell collection on display all year long! I layer in “beachy ” artwork through the year and everyone enjoys it❤🐚❤

Totally agree I live in the Caribbean we only have 2 seasons rainy and dry. For'summer' July Augut I do that Nantucket style 1 room coastal in 1 and tropical paradise in another..don't talk for Christmas I definitely have 1 flocked tree in my winter woodland rustic room..agreed 100%

Oh Liz! I am just in love with that piece of furniture you got from Craigs list. It is perfect for the style! You should know I'm all about elements of the coastal/lake life look year round. What you may not know is I've been heavy on the blue and white collecting for a few years now. Working with an estate sale company has me picking up pieces quite often. I love, love, love the blue and white jars you found. The flowers on them are beautiful. As I watched you decorate these shelves, I found myself saying I have all of this with the exception of the big shell. LOL! I even have white sailboats that were brass that I painted white one year. Hubby still hasn't forgiven me for that one. I love the more modern looking sailboats you found. Can't wait to see more of this look in either home you choose to share!

I firmly believe we should decorate to suit ourselves. For one thing I never pay attention to what a lot of other people are doing - if anything when something's very popular I just get sick of it and turned against it! I do happen to live near the beach in Southern CA where I grew up, and my house is a Spanish-style blue stucco so coastal decor is very appropriate and what I love. For a more serene vibe in the backyard, though, I do have kind of an Asian theme with less decor. I enjoyed your video and you have a new subscriber.

Ah, blue and white, my heart. But I'll take almost any color combined with white for a fresh look. I came from central Florida to southern California. I really like something that looks fresh and cool. But, to be truthful, I like every style and would decorate every room in a different style if I had the means and wasn't afraid of the decor police. Your footage from the rooftop was very enjoyable. I love watching your videos.
