Whenever I visit London, I can't get over how nice those S7 stock trains are.

glad to see someone's filmed this... I was not able to do so as I was filming trolleybuses in Coimbra on that day (and funicular railways / trams / underground trains in Lisbon the days before & after).

Great to see the HST and HeX between Paddington and Royal Oak. btw, did you know that on much the Hammersmith branch the tracks are further apart than usual - because the route was originally built for and served by Brunel's broad gauge trains (and operated by the Great Western Railway)

It's because the S7 stock are designed to be interchangeable across the Circle, H&C and District lines. Therefore they include the line maps for all three lines on all trains so if they need to be transferred to another line they're all ready to go

I will miss the C Stock.

Dont forget that each carriage is powered, so losing a carriage makes no real difference to the performance - besides, the signalling and timetable means S Stock has its performance capped anyway, so until the old trains have gone and the new signalling is installed they perform pretty much like the trains they're replacing.

Could you do a full journey on the NEW hammersmith and city line?

They will probably start running to Barking in December. Also, three S7s are going to run on the Met as 8-car as about 30 of the S8s need to go back to Derby for modifications. There's more info about that on District Dave's forum.

its going to moorgate for now but im not intierally sure when its going to be full service

The S7 is destined to work on three lines. People may get overloaded with info if all three of them appear on one map. The train itself reminds people which line they are on so this should mean there's no confusion, right? Only S8 will work Metropolitan, and they only have one map as a result. It could be one day the District map will be joined with the the H&C and Circle, but that day is not yet here. Mind the gap, please!

I wont miss the Dstock at all, see them everyday but I do miss A stock cos i never tool it and I will miss Cstock cos i think they go faster and they have higher caacity even though its shorter

I have no idea its pretty stupid really because I was expecting them to have seperate maps just like the Metropolitan Line
