Love the action, the switch caliber system, the lightweight and the look. Are the groups shot at 50 yards that we normally see or 100 yards? Will we see another video with the 22 Mag barrel?

@@adrianwhite277 We all have those we sold that we later regret. I know I do. The Ruger 10/22 Mag is crazy expensive now (if you can even find a used one for sale) and truth be told, as a shooter they really aren't worth that amount of $ people are asking for them. There are more reliable less expensive alternatives today rather than spending so much for the used and discontinued Ruger.

Great vid as usual--i have a comment on the video you did on short /long barrel 22 shotshells. You proved that longer the shot cup is in contact with rifeling larger the pattern, this being said the short barrel shotguns like shockwave might benefit from a rifeled (slug barrel?) since the 14 inch barrel they have still gives a tighter than desirable pattern for close quarter home defense. This might make a good topic for a competent utuber like you. Cheers

I think, given the reviews of both the Hammerli and Ruger Precision you have done, I would opt for the Ruger. Its cheaper and like you said you can add an aftermarket barrel to the Ruger that will really increase the accuracy. The quick change feature is nice on that Hammerli but with the importance of barrel lockup in the action I would consider that a weak point. I have a Tac 22 that is very accurate so I was kind of hoping the Force would be that kind of accurate.

love everything about it except the barrel to action connection. I would be a buyer if I could dream up a way to lock those two parts someway consistently. Yeah, target rifle it is. But as you know with a bit of tweaking, a standard 10/22 can be made into a decent shooter well under half that group size. You are dead on correct, the ammo is probably causing a lot of your spread. Just found your channel and sub'd. Have shot rimfire 22 for several (too many) decades... still love it.

I've always wondered why no company hasn't made a miniature version of the old Swiss straight pull bolts for .22 magnum and above since it is a locked breech design and very fast shooting. Another action you probably haven't seen is the Marlin short throw lever action that they used over a half century ago with their .22 magnum rifles. I had one as a kid. Very little lever travel needed to load the next round. You don't even need to take your trigger finger off the trigger; just flick the lever down and back with two fingers while still holding on to the pistol grip. Those too would work well with a suppression and they are accurate rifles.

Those are actually pretty good groups for the ammunition you were shooting... Just out of curiosity have you tried any of the Lapua sister company SK ammo? I do some plinking with their ammunition and have had amazing success with its reliability. Especially for groups... Typically using this for silhouette of handshooting at a hundred and thirty yards, Hitting very small targets with great consistency. Nothing wrong with running green tag, I also have some gold medal. Match left over from the old days but I don't use it too often.

I have some Federal Gold Medal Target I bought back in 1987 that I have good results with. I bought 5000 rounds and still have about 1250 rounds left. A lot of people don't like it but it is consistently 2" or so at 50 yards out of my .22 hunting rifles with iron sights or 4x scopes.

I really want a Volquartsen Summit but don't want to pay that kind of money. I did buy a nice Steyr straight pull but still want something else.

Does it have 2 action screws like a bolt gun or 1 link a 10/22?

The question is does it come with both barrels or do they made you order the .22 magnum barrel? That will determine quite a bit of the sales interest ultimately.

might be more useful to test a .22 at 50 yards? or 50 meters.

You think they will make a 17hmr barrel? Would be nice two be able to which between the 3 calibers.

If action is already made for 22wmr then it should not need anything else than just different barrel. Gotta wonder why not include that caliber since start. Least to my mind it makes more sense than 22wmr. 22lr for cheap and quiet backyard plinking and 17hmr for further range and accuracy.

Have you tried to single load it ...nothing in the mag ? My old CZ 452 Varmint prefers one at a time.

@22plinkster How does it hold zero after a barrel change and does the 22mag barrel shoot (if you have it)? Thanks for the video and a great option to the Volquartsen Summit. Is the Summit considered a target rifle as well?

The Summit is considered a match rifle. It's not uncommon to get .5 MOA consistent groups at 100 yards with it. I took the barrel off several times, and it always held a reasonable zero.

How smooth is the action when cycling with ammo compared to the Volquartsen summit? in the video it looks a little rough but I'd love to hear first hand.
