Way too many people commenting "steroids" on here. Want to know the truth? The truth is that there are many athletes that are way stronger than Sedykh ever was. This sport could allow people to use steroids with no testing and athletes would still fall way short of his world record. Hammer throw is not about being the strongest. You need enough strength to control the speed and propel the hammer. The rest is technique and skill. You have to be smart in this sport. Steroids my ass. If you think this guy is on steroids, or think that steroids would even make much of a difference in this sport. I am sorry, but you don't know jack about hammer throw. Trolls.

I don't know about that. The junior top ten with 7,26kg hasn't been changed since Olli-Pekka Karjalainen's 78,33 in 1999. But who did you have in mind?
mm no. it was basically down the middle.. the only issue in the throw was that his double support push was rushed on the second turn. sedykh is the one who says this.
@willanger26 I don't think you'd have to go homw, she's probably watching?
craazy men
@ColonelVagner It was 86.62.
Hahaha I love this!!
@JxAxRxRxExTxT with his power thats a good number for him
Way too many people commenting "steroids" on here. Trolls.

Yup. I was just watching the 2016 Olympics hammer before this and the technique difference is night and day.

the truth is probably that there are lots of athletes that could have trailed to do this but they just dont because in america we dont talk about hammer throw. Think lebron james or bo jackson could throw?

Nah bullshit is Koji was roided he'd throw further Ivan tsikhan was roided and threw 86.60 is pawel was roided he'd throw 86 plus don't give me that bullshit being roided allows you to train more and be more explosive therefore allowing your technique to also get better cuz you can train more don't be defending drug cheats
