Hammer & Spanner EP 7 - 800whp on stock pistons?! - M104 Turbo

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Welcome to "Hammer & Spanner" in this webseries you will be invited to check out the more technical side of our builds and projects. To start of the series we decided to go under the skin of our current Mercedes CLK.
Episode 7 will guide you through the internals of our M104 turbo engine, we check out the rods, pistons, support girdle, cylinderhead and much more! Make sure you check out the other 6 episodes about our CLK Driftcar.
Hopefully we managed to cover the most parts of these areas but if you feel that we left something out we want you to tell us in the comments below!
This was our final episode of under the skin of the clk, more content will come soon!
Video shot and edited by MStangberg & DigifiMedia.

I’ve got a ‘97 C36 also! Mine has 206k. Everyone on BAT thinks the W202 C43 is superior “because it’s a V-8”. But the AMG rebuilt M104 takes an already great engine, and makes it something truly special. The C43 is just AMG cams (SOHC 3 valve per cyl) on a standard short block. The C36 lump got the FULL AMG treatment, forged crank, rods, pistons, etc. A beastly motor - can’t imagine what a turbo’d M104 would feel like!

I am in the process of swapping m104 with a turbo into my w210 e55 amg, so I bought the m104.992 engine, after tearing it apart I have discovered that I don't have oil squirters and my pistons are made by Nural, not Mahle. Do you know if they are as strong as Mahle pistons and can have hight boost or do I need to find mahle pistons? Also can I use diesel engine OM6xx squirters in my engine block? If you could give me information that would be great. Thank you and keep up with good work.

So I guess it will work as fine as Mahle. P.S.
