A medley of customised Hamilton hits for Simon & Lizzie 13/08/2022 🥂
In May 2022, my friend Lizzie asked if I might be up for singing at her wedding. Her goal was to surprise Simon the groom, but as a bonus she gave me complete freedom on what to sing so to keep as much of it a surprise for her too!
I knew they were both huge Hamilton fans (I love it too!) but I wanted to personalise the songs for them to make it extra special.
In the months leading up to August, I came up with the structure (it was hard not to include every song!) and the personalised words, then asked a few of our friends to help sing the harmonies.
On the day of the wedding I was so nervous! But I knew I’d made the right call when both of them referenced Hamilton in their ceremony and vows 🥰 and was so happy to be a part of their wedding day.

@@linannsingh6165that’s because they didn’t have the rights to preform it for profit and they changed it to be all about Jesus…. Hamilton isn’t very Jesus friendly

Because they performed the whole production and profited off of it. This was private, and they also didn't perform the whole musical. @@linannsingh6165
I wanted this to be "raise a glass to the two of you, tomorrow there will be more of you" sooo bad this would've been gold!

This was adorable!!! They had really good singing voices and harmonizing was excellent. They even did the Hamilton pose at the end. This is what my dream wedding looks like.❤
