Without a doubt it's real, but let's be honest - it's not nearly as bad as its being portrayed. Individual agency plays a larger role than your skin. Systemic racism is also not the problem, its about wealth - that's where the real problem is.

I've experienced some pretty harsh racism towards myself in the past, yet sadly due to my skin colour being white if I were to speak up about it now it seems there would be a sudden urge from people to claim "whites don't experience racism" thus no matter how badly I might have experienced something it seems due to my skin colour being white it's ignored, if we want to end racism and protest for BLM then we shouldn't push away those who come forward with their experiences of racism regardless if they're Black, White, Latino or Asian. Ultimately everyone experiences racism some way more than others.

forget all the backlash,it is from the very people who kind of forget how colonialist the UK was centuries ago, enslaving black people, taking their countries from them and starting apartheid, yes dear people, starting apartheid, in South Africa. they created the "pass" system where you had to show a pass to go work and basically were confined to what during WW2 was described as concentration camps. the Boeres, old dutch farmers who beat the british in a war in South Africa, only then officially did what the british did,but put it into LAW. so before you go raging on Lewis, ask yourself the question,do i know my history? then ask yourself,is that maybe why black people are now standing up for fair and equal lifestyles like everyone else? and ask yourself, have you ever been racially profiled, how often, and ill bet you that i can say with 100% honesty,i have had it happen to me,a thousand times more than you have. that my friend is for the those who giving you crap here. the truth often hurts as we can see,its a hard path, but lets all fight for fair and equal lifestyles for everyone. peace to you.

The issue isn't the laudable wish to see equality in all things it's the idiot, selfish, self-aggrandizing, condescending, and inappropriately placed, manor in which it is done. Consider the playground: A bunch of kids are playing a game, one child seems to be excluded, do you: 1) Go over and invite him to join in? 2) Point out the seemingly excluded person to your playmates and castigate them for your perception of their bad behavior? Is anybody going to be happy with the latter? Is it possible that dissension and resentment may be seeded where that was none before? Might I suggest posting with caps-lock on is not a good substitute for reasoned debate?

They’re big part of the problem he’s fighting. If you don’t like Hamilton talking about this stuff and raising awareness, take a look in the mirror and educate yourself. You’re part of the problem.

There is absolutely zero evidence of any 'racism' in F1, and the driving line-up is as 'diverse' as you can get - there are 14 different nationalities, ethnicities, languages and cultures on that grid, unless Lewis and Sky are saying that all White Europeans are the same and just one mono-cultural and mono-racial blob? I assume that Lewis and Sky also believe that the NBA and NFL are 'too black' and need more 'diversity' right? They are stirring up racial issues that do not exist, people want to watch racing not watch a rich privileged black guy talk about how 'bad' he has it because of his skin colour.

Do you really think everyone opposing anything Hamilton says it's only due to racism against him? As long as we fight for equality of opportunities count me in, if the focus is: - equality of outcome no matter the reason/s behind. - because of it, believe there is a problem of a certain level as a fact and call or suggest those who just disagree oppresors or enablers of it/them, I'm out. If certain people really think there is more racism as many other people think, they should proove it so more people would join their view. If they just dismiss any disagreement with contempt or even insults, I believe they will increase society division and actually increase the delay for society improvements. And I believe this kind of approach is happening, and not only on the racism topic. It's hard but we have to let aside as much as possible our biases and try to improve society based on research.

Richard they had the same number of wins so the decision came down to most second places, hence why Hamilton was classified 2nd and Alonso 3rd. Either eay, it wad expected to ser Alonso topping a rookie teammate, coming from 2 consecutive double championships and getting into the 2nd/arguably 1st car of the season (Ferrari was a bit more consistent). Hamilton was actually going to be champion until the penultimate race, in which he was leading in Chine but the team left him hanging with slicks on heavy rain for one lap too much, and he made the critical mistake (probably the worst he's ever made, cost him a championship) to go too fast on the pit lane and docked it into the gravel. He would have been champion on his rookie season agaisnt one of F1's all time greats (Alonso) Both of them are my absolute favorite drivers, no question, and I've sern from many interviews - from both - that they have a lot of respect for one another

I don't like some of the negative comments on here towards Hamilton. However, it is a complex issue. I would say money is a very big factor to get in F1 as well. Talent will get you so far but also you need some financial backing to get up to the top as well. Not directing this at Lewis or anyone else, obviously there are diversity issues in F1 but maybe part of it is to do with money rather than racism because of people's skin colour. I think Lewis though is and should be an inspiration for other BAME people to join motorsport. Everyone should want to end racism. However, BLM is another thing entirely.

He was even stumbling attempting use those broad generalizations which I think he doesn't actually believe them to his core. Here in America, the issue is criminals in the act of committing crimes and in most cases resisting arrest. Myself, Lewis, and other people of color are typically not at risk of getting into altercations with the police because we don't commit crimes. Black people in America suffer from broken homes which leads to bad behavior. Over 70% of black American children are born to families without both parents.
