This song is all out to me. To me, this song is dedicated to the kind of love that was never meant to happen, but it did, and it had to be stopped. It goes out to the people who met but weren't supposed to. It's for the kind of love that was pleasant and beautiful but turned out to be painful just because it was so great that no one alive could've ever made it as great as it seems. It goes out to the people who called, but was never answered. And this song is just painfully beautiful, I love everything about it.

2021 - I just had my hardest breakup. We met 5 years ago in college, all I wanted was just some notes and yet here we are, deeply connected emotionally attached, so much memories of good times and bad times, sadly we had to breakup because her parents won't accept the love marriage. It feels wrong it feels bad but I gotta accept this and move on. This song is painfully beautiful and relatable to me ever since I met her. Update - now she's dating another guy. 2022 Update - Started as casual since she had to go abroad for masters but she caught feelings for me fast. She confessed while she was drunk 3 times and then i realised i have feelings too. Then one day we both confessed about it. She didn't want LDR from the start itself but she would give it a thought about us since i had plans of moving to that country next year for jobs. A month later her decision was no and wants to keep both of our options open. I don't know but somehow I always relate to this song and come back to let go of those memories of good times and the pain I'm going through when she left. Another heartbreak with someone who did not want to give it a try for me. Now I'm too scared to even say I love you to anyone.

Heard this played over the system while shopping in a thrift store. Loved the unusual sound and tried to get under one of the ceiling speakers to catch a few lyrics to Google. All I got was "a thousand times", not knowing if it would narrow it down enough. Very happy to find out this is it, and it sounds so good!! I don't know if that has anything to do with the fact I first listened to this song watching 13RW and the scene where it played was reall touching. But seriously, this music makes me feel so melancholic, depressed and happy all at once, it's one of those songs that makes me feel all the pain of trials of young love even if I'm not currently in love with anyone. It's such a powerful song, I wouldn't be able to explain why. I wonder if someone else feels the same.

I love the concept of this video being that this is "Young Hamilton" - "Now Hamilton" and "Older Hamilton" yearning, wishing and wondering "what ifs" and redoing the past......not just young love, but current regrets of "what if" and even farther down the road in age, still asking "what if".....wow, the long lasting regret not doing enough or trying harder for that special person that lives in the back of our memories. I am in my late 50's and when I heard this song I was like WOW - I have always had that one person that I regret not trying more for going wayback to junior high and high school. We were always friends and there were many opportunities abound to see it through. Sigh .....go figure. 1000 times, more like a million times....but the songs hits it on the head 8)

One of the greatest songs of all time.

I found you after 28 years. I found you and this song on the same day. Life went on. You have your own family now and I have mine. Nonetheless, I cries as I sang this song. The lives we lived. Maybe we could've never worked but I guess we'll never know now. Happiness was knowing we were once loved. Beyond language and culture barriers. Who knows, maybe you don't even remember me. Doesn't matter anyways. I guess I just wanted you to know you were loved and I still dream of us. It isn't something I can control.

Same thing just happened to me after 8.5 years. She came back She came back she came back in 2009, I stayed with a woman who lied for the last 8.5 years to me and who I finally divorced. I realized if I was told the truth at the beginning I would've went back to the girl who kept coming back (the love of my life). Now she's married to another guy she seems middle ground, she has feelings but she has a family. What can I do, a thousand times a thousand times I've had the dream. Exactly I hope her middle ground life becomes perfect for her. Nothing less.
