I just admire how to detail you put into Little Angelica’s mental breakdown. Not only did constantly hallucination Phillip, but also had a hard time recognizing her own family members.

That’s cus the musical only focuses on Philip and partially mentions their daughter Angelica once or twice. It’s mainly bc Philip died in his first duel and Lin- Manuel Miranda based the rest of the musical off of his death since it had the biggest impact on the Hamilton family leaving them hart broken, depressed, and poor Angelica, insane

Really sad fact: One of lins close friends child died writing the song. This had a big affect on that persons life like all parents who lose a child. But they sent them this song to help cope.

Why is this so relatable?-

The tear dropping while piano playing the chord right after "It's quiet uptown" make me sob so hard. And the fact that Philip is watching and also dropping tears makes me cry even harder. You put so many details in this, my heart is broken into pieces on ground because of this song and your amazing animatic, thank you!

While it used to be "Look around at how lucky we are to be alive right now", now it's just "Look at where we are, look at where we started" Because they're NOT lucky to be alive... if they can they would gladly trade their lives just to see Phillip again... To make things the way it used to be, but they can't and they have to live with only memories of Phillip, remembering him even with all their other children around. As Carol from glee said, "Parents never stop being parents".

Don't mind the broken pieces lying on the floor, they're just the pieces of my heart. I didn't need it anyway. This was so beautiful! Loved that you included the additional tragedy of Angelica Hamilton's breakdown after Phillip's death. Not something I see very often. Thank you so much for sharing this! :)

I absolutely love the fact that you have Angelica ‘their daughter’ a side to the story. How she felt and how she reacted. How the children felt.

In the actual musical Lin Manuel Miranda who played Alexander cried. The version that's in this video is the soundtrack version so I believe they didn't want any crying for it.

This was beautiful, the ending was amazing and it broke me into a sobbing mess. I just want to really take a moment to say thank you to Eliza Hamilton, because without her amazing work trying to keep Hamilton's legacy alive after he died, we wouldn't have this amazing musical and wouldn't have this beautiful animatic. And thats why I always cry at this song, it shows how much work Eliza put into her husbands legacy and is, in my opinoun, why in the musical Eliza gasps at the end of this song, she is looking out to the crowd and seeing all the people who came to see a show about her husband's life, which she helped preserve, just like at the end of this video, it really is beautiful.

It’s like an arrow shot right through ur hart, leaving it fractured and broken and making u feel like ur in the moment itself which I may add, is a sign of a true story teller/ artist depending on the way the artist captures the story and turns it in to a drawing, animatic, picture etc,.

I haven’t seen an animatic for It’s Quiet Uptown in a long while, this one in particular speaks to me. My favorite moments being: 1. when Alexander collapses to his knees in tears at Pip’s grave, that was a beautifully heartbreaking animation and I love it so much!? I feel like that was referencing the fact that at Pip’s funeral Alexander couldn’t stand on his own. 2. And then when he grabs Eliza by the hand and just clings to her, his face is just broken and desperate and near hysterics, it’s beautifully gut wrenching. 3. And when Eliza finally forgives him, like the lighting on Alexander brightens on his face. Showing that he finally has some light back in him where before it had been taken went Philip died. It’s beautiful. 4. When they break down together and just hold the other and Ghost!Pip is looking at them from above- KILLED ME 🥺😭 Kudos to you, I love this animatic ❤️💕👍🏼

A little fun fact to add: I heard that when Alex re-entered the house they brought Philip into before he died, he outright fainted, overwhelmed with grief.

Yuna McHill he meet the doctor at his home, before they arrived at Angelica’s house where they had sent Philip. That’s when he fainted, and then when they arrived at Angelica’s home, the sight of Philip in so much pain, made him say in distress “Doctor, I despair.” Afterwards, at Philip’s funeral, Alexander had to be held up by friends and family because he could not handle the grief over loosing his son.

Oh no, so much fuck this. I broke down at 4:36. Phillip’s silhouette, observing as his parents knelt on the ground, crying; imagine how happy he must have been at that moment. Also, little Angelica’s breakdown. *It hurts, okay?!* I wasn’t even attached to her during the musical, but damn, that shit got me.

There’s another layer of the song, when you realize that he walks around the city and stays out so long because he isn’t welcomed home by his children. After the hell he put them through he couldn’t face them on a daily basis. The guilt and the state of his daughter drove him out of the house. Eliza keep the house and kids together while he’s husband ran. Her forgiveness was his lifeline.

This so good, I just discover your channel and oh boy, I love your art style and the way you animated when Hamilton fall to the ground or even when they were crying. I started crying when I saw Angelica in the hospital but I burst when I saw Ham crying and falling Thank you for such a good animation ❤❤❤

It's beautiful yet emotionally powerful, I certainly would feel the pain Hamilton was going through, the poor guy lost his first born son, this song certainly heartbreaking to listen to but this visual representation of this scene is absolutely well made. The lyrics of this song which Hamilton sang was especially heartbreaking. And the way you had him falling to his knees crying is a beautiful yet heartbreaking touch. Bravo!

My step mom and my dad have at least 3 miss carriages together. I was really hoping I could have a little sibling instead of older siblings that are in high school and collage. But u know, I feel ya (in a way. It’s not really the same thing when it’s ur child that was miss carried instead of ur parents. Just trying to relate some how)
