He also destroyed their temple, signifying the end of the old covenant order, because He had established His new covenant with the church, which began in 1st century, and has expanded to all the nations, as promised to Abraham in Genesis 12:3, 18:18, 22:18, 26:4, Galatians 3:8 & Matthew 28:18-20. Those who followed Christ escaped and were unharmed. God took the kingdom away from them and gave it to the church (Matthew 21:42-45).

@@magentamagenta1274 My comparison is apt. Without righteousness every man is a slave to sin. That "imputed" righteous is provided in Jesus Christ through faith in his finished work on the cross. Sinwar and Bibi are slaves to sin. Their actions stem from their spiritual separation from God Almighty. They're not animals or anything closely akin to them. They're made in the image of God.
