I got a ham hock

Hi Nic that’s so easy to do , I have never done mine with that ham I used to get the ham hock and do mine the way my mother in law showed me ,but it was boiled on stove for hrs topping up the water then the next day drain and add fresh water and then all the vegetables but I cheated and done mine same day and it tasted the same ,with homemade crusty bread 🍞 but I will try yours xxxx

A ham hock needs to be cooked for hours to become tender & fall off the bone, whereas a piece of gammon doesn’t x

No, curing methods have progressed so there’s no longer any need to soak ham x
