HAM RADIO: Kenwood Sky Command All the Bands on your 2M/70cm Rig. Fun Radio

HAM RADIO: Kenwood Sky Command, simply put is a Radio remote controller that uses VHF and UHF to control another Sky Command enabled Kenwood radio. All the Bands on your 2M/70cm Rig. Great fun and really useful addition to your radio, but only if your license permits the use of it.
K-MOD and MARS MOD
Just for fun radio...
Many thanks

Simple for a young man with a stable mind. I still get the book out just to tune up my TS820S. But I did enjoy it, reminds me of things past I would do so my Battalion Commander could talk farther and better than his bosses commo

Hi mate.... Good video. My 2k came with the sky mod already done, but never bothered to even see what it was or did. The Mrs hoped we'd get free films 😆 I like the sound of top band mobile via sky. Out of interest though, what would you call as ? m0zww, or m0zww/m ; as technically you would be both 🤔

Thanks for the video, Mike. I have a shack full of Kenwood gear, several with this Sky Command feature but I've never used it. I'm assuming the command radio must be within the transporter radio's antenna coverage range for this to work?

Thanks for this Mike; cool and handy for me, as I have a TS 2000. Did you lose all your stored memory settings? Please can tell me if it is possible to set up for Sky Command and computer control...or is it one or the other? TNX.

@@mike-M0MSN Thanks for the reply Mike, it's handy to know that I'll lose anything in the rig's memory. I'll make notes before I do the conversion. Then the rig and I will be two of a kind...both remembering sod all! LOL

How good is that?! As well as mobile you can be anywhere in the house/garden too. Great for remote ops of someone in a dip with access to a high point. 👍🏻

Very neat Mike. If memory serves me well, I had a QSO some time ago with someone on 40m, he was out walking his dog using his H/T linked to his TS2000. I can only assume this was the same or similar.

No, the trace is a common rail, so it was only the PCB lacquer that has been removed. But thanks for the steer, and well spotted.
