I applaud you for your gesture of not inviting kids of your building and instead feeding the needy...when i was a kid i used to go to 2-3 houses for ashtami where we only cared about the ₹10 note that we got but these kids they were so happy with the food and gave you true blessings

When you do the cooking always use hot water. Since you have an electric kettle... Keep it filled and hot... Wherever you need to use water use hot water. This reduces your cooking time as well as this increases the taste. When you'll do it you'll tell everyone. Trust the results .
