Halting and downward transitions can be difficult for some, and this video talks about some of the prerequisites needed for them to work more easily. These concepts we cover in depth in The 'How' of Riding course.

Can't wait to try this with my mare! She's my very best teacher, but teach by only responding when she's happy with my signals. Which mean i haven't been able to stop her for 3 years. She won't accept a bad stop signal. I managed to get a super nice stop not too long ago, without training her at all, but i don't know exactly what i did, so i never managed to do it again and our stops continue to be horrible. Now i can try this and see how she respond. Hopefully it will lead to another nice stop.
