Well I rather see Jay and Hayley together romantically than Adam and Kim together romantically they really needs to break up for good this time and never get together again ever. If anyone say they're meant to be together romantically again needs to go back and look at their relationship between them again they were better off as friends. If I was Adam I would of found someone else in a way the writers should of been given Adam a new love interests the moment he closed the door on Kim. But no they've wanted them be together romantically again no matter how the relationship between them wasn't or were. To me it's like no offense it's like the writers still trying to get Dawson and Casey together romantically again no matter how bad the relationship between instead of the writers not giving him or her a new love interests. Or kept pushing the idea or possibly of them getting together no matter what. I'm fans of for example of Dawson and Casey if I can't see they weren't made for each other and Casey deserves better why should I believe it still hope for them and writing to the writers on my Twitter, Facebook, Instagram account about that couple. We all know Casey deserves better it was Brett. In the case of Adam and Kim they both deserves better than each other so why encourage the writers to keep them together romantically again and again and again and again and again. It wasn't working out between so why keep them together romantically again and again and again. I don't want Adam and Kim back together romantically anymore and I'm feeling this way because it's true we all are watching the same show right? So we're things between always been good between them or am I just imagining that they're relationship between them was nothing but drama and always been rocky from the start and the back and forth between them wasn't good either? Am I right about saying all of this? If so well then. If not the correct me if I'm wrong when Adam and Kim slept together and almost has a child together how Kim treated him afterwards? Was she all lovey dovey towards him? When Adam found out that he was going to be a dad and was going to propose to Kim what was her answer was it yes? No Kim treated Adam like dirt like she always does like she regretted beinging with him or something. And when they go together romantically again Adam wanted a relationship with her and how did she act did she wanted a relationship with Adam anymore? And when she was in hospital was she happy to see him? I think not so am I right about all of this? Or am I wrong?

This scene was so hard to watch. It broke my heart to see them both hurting so much. How they feel lost, with not only each other but themselves. Both Tracy and Jesse absolutely knock it out of the park. We’re so lucky to have them on this show. They really make me feel so many things. It’s incredible. I’m all here for some Upstead angst (as long as they’ll be okay in the end). I’ve never seen a more well developed relationship on tv than Upstead. The way they’ve built their trust, friendship and relationship over the years is one of the most beautiful love stories we have ever been allowed to witness. It feels so realistic, so real. You can tell that the love that these characters have for each other goes so deep. I cannot wait to get out of these angsty scenes and go back to the happier moments these two shared. It’s what they both (and we all) deserve. Remember: “we are good, and we’re always gonna be good.” I truly believe that. Yes, they have some things to work through, but they will. Because they love each other too much not to. They’ll make it work. “I want it to be you and me, always.” We all want this too. These characters deserve to be happy, but most of all they deserve to be happy together. ❤️

I totally agree, I love these two. Tonight's episode was intense,but I loved it when Jay walked into their place and gently guided her to the bathroom, turned on the shower and whispered in her ear how bad things are for her. Then he said ..the woman that I am going to marry is not going to jail. He always protects her❤️

They will figure it out. They are the best for each other. Couples always have things to work through. There’s no relationship that doesn’t have obstacles. They love each other though. They will figure it out and come out stronger

@Ms. Christina True. They're PD's version of Fire's Kelly and Stella. Both couples aren't perfect, they each have traumas and things they've hidden from each other but at the end of the day, both couples know being in a relationship means they're gonna have things and obstacles to work through whether by themselves or together. If Kelly and Stella were able to work everything they've been through together and still stay as a couple, what's not to say Jay and Hailey can do the same? I think Jay and Hailey can figure it out and come out of this with a much stronger and deeper knowledge of each other the same way as what Kelly and Stella have done in Fire's Season 9.

It is not surprising that most comments here completely misunderstand what this storyline is about, because most fans see the storylines only through the prism of their favorite character or very superficially in general, this is a problem. But what Chicago PD is doing right now, is writing for a great TY show where the emotional stakes are at the highest. The theme for this season is "family", Jesse Lee spoke about it in an interview. I'm sure this conflict will only bring Hank and Jay closer, it is obvious that Chicago PD writers are now doing something a la Avengers : Civil War. They re gonna tear Jay and Hank apart to put them together at the end, closer than ever. Any fan who thinks a little deeper about these characters understands that each character has their own point of view, their beliefs, and the world is generally complicated, not black and white, and you need to analyze this series based on this fundament. Hank and Voight have always protected each other, for the entire 9 years - Halstead has lied and protected Voight hundreds of times - and it will protect him this time too - if you don't remember it, you must watch reruns of the show. Halstead has crossed the line for Voight whenever it was needed. But that doesn't mean Voight is always right, that he's a saint and that only his perspective has to be considered - quite the opposite, but unfortunately, many very little-insightful fans do this. Jay has every right to be furious now. Hank preaches unity, but then does the dirty work himself, often behind the backs of an entire Unit, and then as a result brings misfortune for all. Do you people understand that this is not about some nonsense, but about the deadly serious thing, about a serious investigation into the capture of the murderer? Hank compromised the entire investigation, lied to his direct right hand - Jay (Jay is in the hierarchy right after Hank), committed a murder - no matter how you look at it, it's a crime and the whole Unit now will answer for it one way or the other because it affects all of us, plus he manipulated the situation. He made the gun available to Roy, because he knew Hailey would have to shoot him then !! Voight has put Hailey in a very difficult position, and in addition, Hailey is Jay's fiancée. If you don't understand Jay's fury here, then shut up. It was obvious from the start that Hank was wrong and that Jay would be disappointed and furious when he will find out. If Hank himself is talking about unity, then he should have told the whole unit the truth from the beginning and come up with a plan together, not hide Roy's murder and bury himself and Hailey in the mud. Plus, there's also Kim - she's traumatized, afraid that Roy is still out there somewhere. And Hank doesn't mind it. What Hank has done, and what Hank has been doing for years, harms this Unit more than it helps - that's a fact. Hank's shady dealings, through 9 years, brought danger to every member of this unit, one by one - as a result, Al is dead, Antonio broke down and left, Ruzek, Kim and others were close to a tragic destiny many times too, due to Voight's dirty secrets . Jay just wants to protect them all, including Voight, which he even talked about in the Season 6 finale, because Jay understands that doing everything Voight's way will eventually be impossible. Crime is a crime, law is the law, it doesn't matter Hank killed a murderer. This puts the entire Unit in jeopardy becasue they are the police, for God's sake. This is Jay's point and it's 1000% justified. The Internal Affairs Department would have thrown Hank into jail long ago if everything Voight had done had come to light. You can push the boundaries, but everything has an end and its consequences, and now Jay has to deal with the FBI, and he is afraid for Hailey. How some can't understand Jay is beyond me!

I both love and hate the Upstead angst we are getting. We do need angst. All couples/relationships have obstacles and things they need to work through. No relationship is perfect., no person in whatever the relationship they are in is perfect. So that's why I'm fine with the angst. They're gonna be okay, I know that and they will figure it out.

@Layal Al-kadri Yea. Hailey and Jay are PD's version of Fire's Stella and Kelly. Both couples are pretty similar in more ways than one including the fact both Hailey and Stella came from traumatic childhood backgrounds and Jay and Kelly both are hard-headed trouble and bullet magnets. They also have been through a lot. I agree with what you said that no couple is perfect. Everybody has their highs and lows in life and relationships. The important thing is they continue to fight to make their relationship work. In this case, if Kelly and Stella were able to get through Kelly's hiding things from Stella, then I think Hailey and Jay can do the same with Hailey's hiding of things from Jay.

People tend to forget they're both struggling with hiding things from one another which isn't what's supposed to be happening in a relationship but then again, people aren't perfect. I think whatever happens in the aftermath of tomorrow's episode, I think it's better for Jay and Hailey to give space to one another or like take a break for a while from one another and just take time to process everything and if they still want to be together, then they have to fight for it.

Finally she told him it was her choice to go down their and what happened and stuffed. I like that part in this clip she told him no one controlled her not voight or him she make that decision on her own.

Jay is mad at Voight and he's upset, disappointed and probably a little angry at Hailey. if this was Lindsay (I'm using this by way of example, was never a big fan of hers) Jay would be able to yell at her and let out his emotions, it would be therapeutic for him and it would help them move past this. Due to Hailey's past, he won't do that to her and he also won't do that because of how vulnerable she is right now. So he has all the anger and frustration bottled up and his only outlet is to periodically take his frustrations out on Voight which he is unable to do to the full extent that he needs to.

My only point is that Jay could have yelled at Erin and got all his frustrations out in one conversation and could have more easily put this behind him and them. They really should have showed us Jay and Hailey's conversation, but I imagine Jay kept his cool and it's why he has all this pent up anger.

This scene shows how powerful and how strong of a woman Hailey is I was like “aaahhhhh yes girl tell em.”

To be honest, I expected more from this arc, especially after Jay punched Voight and the episode ended with Upstead looking on each other. But after that, we got two episodes of break (first about Atwater, second about Ruzek) and when the case of Roy's death is brought on screen again, we are getting only a minute and a half with "I made my choice that night" and that's all? Come on, writers...

@@amelianeioko978 when Nadia died, there was a PHENOMENAL crossover with Fire and SVU. Lindsay's story continued with several more chapters showing how she was affected by losing her. I wasn't expecting a crossover but at least to see Kim grappling with all the trauma and see Hailey fix things with Voight or do something with her existence🙆🏻‍♀️

Hailey finally confess to jay it her fault she went there not voight

What is painful is that their Homelife is in shambles with jay ignoring her and all that. But I think that the thing that hurts me the most is jay has questioned Hailey's integrity and her character so much that she has to remind him "I'm still me" Heartbreaking.

I can see Halstead betraying Voight in order to save himself and Upton from getting arrested by the FBI. I can also see pitbull Ruzek attacking Halstead for that decision. 😃

I kinda like that Jay is showing a little backbone... I like that he has some vulnerability to show he's doing his best to deal with their mess. Hailey is all over the place... he struggling because she's not who he thought she was. I just never thought this Upstead situationship would last but we shall see 😀

So after this convo how did they turn a 180 degree to love you forever ? There are missing scenes and dialogue this season

Halstead has been a little annoying the last couple episodes. He already knows how Voight works, he didn't handle the situation well with Ana this last episode, he's jumping the gun too quickly.

He’s still clearly livid about the Roy Walton stuff. I can’t blame him for that and I don’t blame him for his hostility towards Voight. But to accuse Ana of planting drugs when he had absolutely nothing to back that up was completely uncalled for and Voight was right to chew him out for that. I have no idea where they’re gonna go with this but it’s got me hooked

They won't. They've been working towards this relationship for so many years now, it wouldn't make sense for them not to end up with each other for good. Even if they do break up now, I think it'll only be temporary.

Jay doesn't know one week and a week later he's in love again. What is going on. Hailey said she makes her own choices. She chose to lie to Jay. When last week's episode ended, Jay has to choose - Hailey or Voight. Either way, someone is going to lose - probably Halstead.

When he is having his "righteous crusade moment", if you dont agree with him. In his mind you are on the wrong side. If its Voights opinion, separate Hailey opinion, or even another person's that still doesn't mirror his...he throws a temper tantrum and becomes passive aggressive. 9 seasons in, its annoying now.

Jay never said it and it's not like this at all. If you don't see how Halstead has genuine reason to be pissed at Voight, then I don't know what to tell you. It's Voight who always does shady things behind teams back and then they had to pay the price. Hank himself doesn't trust them and its deadly important matter - murders, crimes, the killer. Jay is second in hierarchy after Voight. If the boss doesn't tell you things like this and then also brings down your own future wife with him, then anyone would be angry. Skin deep black and white structured lines on a page. If you live your life that way and believe thats how society or our country has worked for the last several hundred years. You are blind and ignorant. In no way shape or form did our government or the people within govern or serve the way the character Jay portrays. Realism is more Voight with the aspiration to be like Jay. Thirdly, its funny how you try to project this righteousness of Jay and Antonio and how they had to lie for Voight. What about Antonio brutalizing a suspect mutiple times. What about when Antonio had an addiction problem to his meds. Is that police policy? No. Did Voight lie for him to protect him? Yes. What about Jay. Is it police policy to harrass civilians, nope. Is it police policy to date within your unit and potentially compromise cases, nope. Is it police policy to have sex with the suspects sister? Is it police policy to want the suspects sister who is wanted in the investigation to run with her and be fugitives? Did he do it, no because he was talked out of it. But he was going to. So dont sit their on this high horse, because its not reality. You're in a Matrix you created and its not real. Just going to say it, but maybe all these relationships is the reason for the series ratings decline. Most people didn't watch it for the mushy romance. They watched it for the gritty action and stories. This is why the Law & Order shows have stayed for so long, they kept the relationships on the down low.

Enough with this already! Everytime a member of intelligence gets into trouble they call voight to save them. Then they suddenly don't mind about his tendency to bend the rules. But ever so often one of them becomes self righteous about it. I mean when it suits them it's fine, but if doesn't... Oh dear.... It's getting old! They all know who they're dealing with, apart from Hailey they've all been there from the very beginning, and even she's been there long enough to get used to it. If it bothered them this much they would have left a long time ago. They don't! So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE drop it!!! They can clash over so many other things if you want to make things interesting, but please let this story line go, it's stupid!

I don’t know why but... I like more the idea of the couple of burgueses and Halstead that him with Upton and and burgueses with Ruzek... I guess at this point I would like to see that couple
