Been watching on repeat, 0:23 to 0:39 has me fondly tearing of nostalgia (was 8 when Halo CE came out) But when 0:42 kicks in, the theme how passionate it sounds and eerily beautiful seeing The Sacred Ring; HALO made me literally break down crying, realising I'm now 32 years old and I'm a husband for 10 years with an angel and our miracle boy who's 2 and a half years old, just hit harder when 0:42 theme kicked in) ❣️😭

Sorry to tell you but you will be disapointed If you did not like the first season because they continue the BS. Master cheeks will meet magic prophets and dead people will do the palpatine and come back to life. The writing is still so Bad i start to get the feeling Not only 343 hates original halo but amazon too. They really want it to be remembered Not as the best Game Franchise from 2001-2010 but rather as the wired shit that No one liked. Must be the main goal because it doesnt even makes money. If money doesnt make them Change its spite.

That is much better, I was a little boy 10 years old when Halo CE came out 🥲 this hit the spot, I remember everyone I knew playing 1-2 and 3, always wondering if we will ever get to see his face, glad we did but now keep the helmet on, at least in battle and during ceremonies "you said you were gonna wear something nice, folks need heroes Chief, so smile would ya? IE chief doesn't take his helmet off etc etc. Personally, if you think of it logically, there was bound to be filler which there is, and so it makes sense he does remove his helmet etc etc amongst other things. It's not like the last of us where the game, its not an exact copy of the mission by mission in the halo campaign, that would be dumb, because it be 20 min episodes at most that way😂 and it's not like the producers didn't say that the series was gonna be slightly different to the games anyway.

I mean it still sucks quite a bit, but I’ll give credit where it’s due. Episode 4 was actually good, and we haven’t seen Master’s Cheeks at all so far (they were covered in the locker room scene)

That theme gives me chills everytime. Takes me back to when I was 8yrs old playing halo with my friend Kevin like a million times a week, playing split screen campaign or split screen multiplayer playing on those custom racing maps, so many great memories playing the games as a kid, I’m so happy they turned this into a tv show.

Love that they fixed the Halo intro with some Halo music. Loved it. Now put it more in the show ❤️

I'm just gonna put this out there, I don’t think keeping Chief's face hidden in the show would work precisely because it is a show and not a game. In the games, it works because you can keep shooting aliens in gameplay on a regular basis, and cutscenes typically aren't far from combat. In the show, however, Chief needs to be built up as a character outside of combat, and constantly having a helmet on doesn't work for that. In fact, in the games' lore, there are several instances of Chief having his helmet off, including The Flood, the end of CE, the beginning of 2, the end of 4, the Escalation comics, and his first scene in 5. And before anyone brings up The Mandalorian, 1. The show establishes early on that Mando has religious reasons for keeping his helmet on, which the Chief does not share, and 2. When Mando's helmet does come off, it makes the scene that much more poignant.

I really like this season so far I think it’s a massive step up from season 1 and they learned a bit plus the human covenant officially kicking off and the early race for the halo ring I’m so happy and my friend and I being comic book, video game fans of almost every genre of media we are quite happy I think ep 1 was a blast showing the true horror of the elite’s and the energy blade

I love this show despite the criticisms about him taking his helmet off cuz I really couldn’t care less about that, the story is fascinating and I hope they make at least 5-6 seasons and cover the entire story and history. I want them to cover the fact the covenant intercepted knowledge not meant for them and the prophets lied to their people about it saying it was meant for them when in reality they knew it was meant for the humans, the halo was meant for the humans. Humans were once as evolved technologically as they are in the tv show, but a Great War sent them to the dark ages and all knowledge was lost and it took thousand upon thousands of years for them to get back to the point where we are in this show. We need the lore, we need the whole story, we need arbiter and we need that ancient alien species that built the halos. The lore and history of the halo universe is so fascinating I can’t wait to see more. I think this weeks coming episode is gonna be a lot more action packed that last weeks. One thing I do wish was different about this show is the soundtrack, I love that they use the original halo theme in the opening credits but it would be nice to get music like that similarly during the episode, currently it just feels like basic action music you know

I like how this season's intro has more of the theme from the game.

I'll be honest, I prefer the season 1 opening. I know this has more of the original music, but that doesn't automatically make it better as an opening credits. The first version flowed better with the on-screen action; this one, the timing seems kind of off. Plus the first season theme also sounded really good; I enjoyed the flow of it.

I love the first season intro because it gives it its own flavor: heroic. I also love this one because of its musicality. I actually really enjoy both.

They’re not, theres another another comment thread here about how Marty is horrible. I don’t think that’s the case, if someone is ready to defend the corporate side of the Halo Theme without looking into what actually happened, then Microsoft wins because that’s exactly what they want. Marty helped shape the stories in halo 1 through reach. It’s just Microsoft trying to cut ties and make everything Halo different just for the sake of not scratching the surface of what made the games great. Also cause they know they’re in the wrong. Show fucking blows anyway. Intro is only cool because of the music, but too little too late.
